Gards on Eriksen to Utd is positive. It means we will DEFINITELY be getting at least one of GLC and BF in, considering we would be selling to United and we wouldn't make ourselves weaker like that without a replacement - if we did, fuck football.

But in the grand scheme of things, it still means we haven't improved, we've stayed the same.

But we have improved a direct rival that finished below us last season.

"If you were buying a car and you could spend £20k 6 weeks ago or £15k now out of your pocket what would you do ? Then when you want to actually spend the £15k it suddenly turns into £21k with loads of other bits what would you do ?"

JJ on, I presume, GLC. Confirms the previous ITK on them moving goalposts.

if my missus said she wanted the car or she’d leave me, i’d fucking well buy it.

Really sad that Lighty isn't here tonight to tell us why this will all be okay.

You've still got me :smug:

Naa only kidding, I'm keeping my powder dry, like you, until Thursday evening. Then I will look at the squad we have in place, assess whether I believe it to be good enough for a strong season, and take it from there.

As it stands I am not optimistic, but it ain't over till the bald elf sings!

Can people wait until the end of the window before they start complaining?

Come on barber, you know that's not how it works here :shifty:

I just wish I had the will power to stay away for the next three days, but I just don't.

If JJ Just Said bf and glc are 100m in the context of how much that is then we’re clearly not signing them, it’s pretty relevant

Not positive at all. We will just replace not strengthen. We buy players who will take months to find their feet. Eriksen strengthens them, weakens us.

Didn't we read that the fee was agreed to quite some time ago and it has been the terms that have changed? If i recall correctly, Betis wanted more money up front and that is what keeps on changing. Hence, Gards tweet makes perfect sense but the deal hasn't occurred due to payment terms not being agreed to. That sounds like that is something that isn't an insurmountable issue unless the new terms create some type of cashflow issue for us. If true, my read is that GLC will likely happen as long as parties aren't too intransigent.

No it doesn’t. GLC is not as good as Eriksen right now. In fact he may never be. And that’s before we even get to the scenario of selling him to our direct rivals for top four.

I blame myself for believing in levy and that he'd change once the stadium is done, selling a top player to a rival while Only replacing what he shifts is never going to cut the gap, no wonder poch looks so fed up :(

It’s a bit rich patronisingly saying people trivialise £100m after the club made record profits and hasn’t spent a penny in a year and a half (until Ndombele). I’m not worried about the team or anything, but Poch deserves more.

My onions are that Levy is unfit to run a Football Club when the objective is to win trophies!

Some of you need to have a look around at how other teams are run. We aren’t City or Chelsea. We don’t have the revenue of Liverpool or United. We’ve just built a new stadium and yet we’re competing with all of these teams. Why do you think this is? Get some perspective.
