JJ just tweeted: “Emergency paging Doctor Beat, Emergency ?”. Could he be referring to Miami sound machine?

So, if the image rights thing has made the Dybala signing untenable, do we go back in for Coutinho? Maybe as a perm move? Or am I grasping at straws?

I just don't see how there's time to get this or any other transfer done now, beyond Lo Celso or Sessegnon. Obviously the chances are a little better with any loan deal, but I still think it's fanciful.

i think there is time left to complete other deals. hope this resurrects, doubt it will though.

Surely it's too late to spend Dybala funds elsewhere now. Best we can hope for is the 2 in and pray Eriksen signs a new deal after being content with transfer dealings. If he stayed it would be a great window.

Barca wants him to leave, we (can) want him to come. If he's convinced one last time, surely there's some time? Paper work should be quick at this age?

This always had whiffs of a backup if Dybala couldn't be completed. Probably did some initial work on it so it wouldn't take long to pull the trigger on it if Dybala fell through, if Eriksen was certainly not signing a new contract that is. There probably needed to be a deadline today when we had to move on from Dybala to make sure there was time though, and I can see that deadline being pushed as Dybala is still tried for behind the scenes. But who knows. I would be very happy if we got this guy instead of Dybala. I think Dybala would be the bigger signing brand-wise and he is a couple of years younger. But Coutinho probably would hit the ground running a little better with his previous prem experience.

I don't see this happening, I think if we turn our attention elsewhere which I highly doubt we do it'll be to BF. I doubt a player of Coutinho's calibre would be cool with being a backup option.

Just heard (on the radio) that Coutinho is considering a move to Juventus. I may have misheard but that’s a cat amongst the pigeons.

Am I right in thinking that technically we still have seven days where this could happen, say if we were to lose Eriksen now to a foreign club? It sounded pretty close at one stage and seems like it was maybe the club that put it on hold.

No the window is shut so we can't register him with the Premier League.
