Two incidents that occurred in the weekends games, one where Toby’s shot hit the villa player, the ball hit his right hand which was over the left side of his body, it may even have missed his body altogether so it’s not in a natural position.
The next one was the wolves disallowed goal, had Boli been a defender that close and the ball hit him and been cleared a penalty wouldn’t have been given, it seems to me it’s a double win for defences.
My opinion is hand ball should be like the rule in hockey when the ball hits your foot it’s a free hit, accidental or not, this way after two weeks of moaning and whining, everyone knows where they stand.

I was astonished we didn't get a penalty for the clear handball incident against Villa.
You can be certain that similar thing will happen against us at some point and it will be a penalty.

Speaking of penalties and the question asked a few posts back, correct, the player who took the penalty cannot score from the rebound unless another player (not the keeper) has touched it. That's one of the reasons why Aguero didn't try and follow up on the original kick.
I did think that the retake was awarded for the keeper being off his line, but the PL decided not to implement that rule this season, so it was for infringement.

Just looking it up and it seems it was mis-reported in March.
There was a plan to scrap rebounds, but that plan was scrapped...
The confusion is because the taker can't touch the ball again if it's rebounded off the woodwork - it has to hit another player first, but that being the goalkeeper is fine.

Nice to see rules being enforced consistently by only the second week of the season.

Game #1: Spurs score, Lamela is subbed (whilst players are getting into position for the restart) and is in roughly the middle of the pitch. He heads towards the dugout = booking for “not exiting at the nearest point”

Game #2: Sergio Aguero is subbed whilst 20 yards from the far side touchline. Leaves the pitch at the same point Lamela did = no booking

This season, particularly the first month or so, is going to be a complete nightmare with regards to VAR. There’s going to be lots of Man City CL ‘celebrate like mental for 3 minutes cos you thought you won only to find out it’s been disallowed’ moments. It’s gonna be shit.

It’s like you can see the future.
