But does a leopard change its spots?

the leopard your talking about has not had the income we have sitting around before to change his spot. yes we made a record profit last season, but POCH didn't want the plan B's, and the plan A's were either not for sale, or didn't want to join us.

Thought there was a general Pochettino thread in Spurs Chat but couldn't find it.

I guess this is for the fans that think he has taken us as far as he can

I dunno, klopp won the champions league and only just missed out on the PL by one point.
Yeah but a treble is not to be sniffed at plus for me the best manager around love how he gets his team playing and working very impressed.

I really think we shouldn’t underestimate Poch’s achievements last season given the myriad of issues he had to manage - for me a deserving nominee

I think had we turned up and won the CL it would have merited it but without nothing I still say pep for me.

Got to be peps award all day long

Not for me. Liverpool won the CL which Pep has been failing to do ever since he left Barca despite that basically being his 1 and only target. And in the league, despite playing on cheat mode, City only managed to be 1 point better than Liverpool in the end. What Klopp has done at Liverpool is a miles bigger achievement than what Pep has done at City IMO.

The plan B's probably being the likes of Nkoudou's and Njie's, can't blame him personally.

I think this season will show us how good or how limited Pochs management is.
He has been a great manager for us, one of our best ever. He brought power and pride back home for us. We have had strong defences and dynamic attacks and got the best out of most of our players.
If he can now figure out how he can evolve into a more front foot based team he will in my eyes be the best.
A lot rides on whether he will actually allow NDombele and others expand our game earlier while still keeping reasonably strong at the back.
I remember how Mourinho pulled back his team during his second Chelsea stint and it ended his reign there, and wonder how Poch will change his philosophy to encompass more forward thinking ideas.
If NDombele can move us forward I think with the right DM we cannot fail even if the backs still need sorting. If not then losing Eriksen will not be good unless we get someone good to replace him. So I put a lot on NDombele to take the pressure of the defence by moving the ball. up quicker.
Will Poch give him licence enough to do it? And support him with the right DM backing NDombele.
We have more than enough going forward but it's midfield I think that will make or break us this season.

Talksport this morning had one of their betting guru's on, apparently Poch is next favourite to leave his job now at 4/1 next to go. What the hell is all that about? I thought all that was put to bed the other week!

I think it's more about him being fired for poor results than leaving on his own. People probably put in bets and lowered the odds.

Its called TalkShit for a reason. Having said that I do think Poch will leave us pretty soon but I don't think it will be mid season.

I don't think Levy would fire him that quickly.

Well, it all depends on how bad it really is behind the scenes and all that.

I know that but this is a betting company telling listeners what the odds are, they have no reason to make stuff up. The odds they set are set for a reason.
They want people to place bets. So called 'info' or 'news' encourages betting. Truthfulness/accuracy of such 'info' or 'news' is not relevant.
