If Poch goes - which is looking inevitable - Levy just needs to do it now and stop dragging this out and risk losing the season.

If we seriously bring in Howe though, I am done with this club! it just cements the fact that Levy doesn't want to win things, it will be another cycle of transition, he will last a few years and then we start again.

We need a winner, would love Mourinho, for those saying he wouldn't work with Levy, I dont care about that or how their relationshop is, I guarantee you he will win something for us, if LEvy and him dont get on so what, I just want to win things now as its boring.

If we dont do this, then Levy and ENIC need to sell up and feck off

How can we seriously be the most expensive side to go and watch when we play such shit football and have won 5 in 19 PL matches, that is relegation form and to many people are trying to defend it due to a lucky run to the CL final last year.... please be honest, we got lucky with some great last minute goals / VAR. We stil didn't win it though did we!!!!!

I see some people saying we won't be able to attract, certain managers to the club but other than Klopp, Pep, Emery and Lampard. There is not one manager in the world that I dont think would outright turn us done. Those are the managers of our rivals and will understandably not come to us.

Also the idea of we dont give managers a chance is wrong imo. We have the 5th longest serving manager in England!

Personally I would like it to be Ten Hag or Mourinho, Ten Hag just because the way I saw Ajax play made me envious

When the question starts being asked after every defeat, it only ever ends in one way. The doubts have crept in and if they have with the fans, they 100% would have with the players. Its a matter of time unfortunately.

It would take an Ajax away type turnaround to see Poch at spurs by next summer. I'd love to believe he has it in him, but I wouldn't be so sure.

What happened to the Poch that we saw getting teary eyed at the last game at the lane? The one that said he'd sign a 15 year contract if Levy offered it?

Since those moments where he showed 100% affection and commitment, we've had interviews where he's skirted around the subject and even suggested he would walk away (just before the biggest game in our history no less).

He needs to get back to thinking himself lucky to be the manager of such a great club and not arrogant enough to believe he's the main man

I think we’re on 19 points from our last 18/19 premier league games. There’s your half a season right there.

but last season is finished, and if you can't understand why we struggled the final few months then I'm not sure you can understand what effect the WC had on us.

Before Poch came to us we had very few Internationals. we played something in the region of 52 fixtures 2017/18 + International matches, our best 12 players then went to duty for their countries. out of the 12 of them only 3 of them came back early, but went onto the Pre-season tournament in the USA. the rest had 2 weeks off, we then played a season of 59 fixtures + internationals, we hardly ever had a fully fit team, most weeks there was 5-7 players in our main 18 injured, and had to play players with injuries or play the kids.

Ten Hag has not be convincing during his time at Ajax (compared to what is expected from their managers).

This. FFS this.

Exactly!

Football isn’t exactly a rocket science, play 4-2-3-1 and stick with it!

Stop putting Son up top alongside Kane, play him on the left!

Play Winks and Ndombele as the two engine room midfielders and if we’re still not keeping control in middle stick Dier in there!

Play an actual fucking right back at right back (which Poch did today but he fucked that well up in champions league mid week).

My number one choice to replace Poch would've been Conte. We saw what he did with a Chelsea squad that was not as good as ours.. If we got Conte we'd have won the league within 3 years, but it seems he's locked in at Inter.

Sacking Poch now will result in a lost season. We're very unlikely to bring someone in who'll do a good job this season.

Surely we’re not advocating getting rid of half of our squad and virtually starting again?

I love Poch and what he’s done for us, but if that’s really the only way we can start performing again then it’s a bit of damning indictment of his managerial skills.

Evolving the team is one thing, but tearing the whole house down and having to start again is not going to see us take the next step to win things.

Whet happens when the next project runs it’s course?

I agree, unless youre bringing mourinho imo

The only thing I will say is that, unless we get a big name like Mourinho

Then I see Poch, Eriksen, Vertonghen and Alderweireld all walking for free

Bringing in Mourinho may convince the 3 players to stay

I agree. Fergie always kept the same core.
For us that's Kane, Jan, Toby, Rose, Lloris, Alli, Eriksen, Son and Winks. The rest are either new or not guaranteed starters.

Five of those have contracts running out, have had issues with Poch or want out. Fergie was able to keep his core mostly happy or at least replaced one at a time. We are facing a mass exodus of our core. This could be a disaster.

Now if the players are happy at the club but not with Poch then you'll find an answer on what needs changing.

If they generally just want to leave because they're done with the club you have another answer.

I think I know which one it is.

U think we're doing that in January?
Is this your first rodeo?

To be fair didn't redknapp sign kean, defoe and palaciois in a January window? Many more than that?

There is clearly a faction not backing poch.

The players are not happy it's clear. When did we last see the bespoke handshakes?

If poch is to stay the faction has to go and go now. Its big trouble if kane is part of that faction.

I wonder if the Real situation is the key to all this. If Zidane is on the verge of being sacked (possibly tomorrow if he loses to Sevilla) then does Levy act quickly to nab Mourinho? Or, if Zidane goes, is Poch back on their shortlist and could a deal be done between us and them?

However, if Madrid go for Mourinho, does Levy persist a little bit longer with Poch?

I think it is going to play some role in what happens next, one way or the other.

Mourinho himself would be a massive risk. He's alienated his squad at every club he's ever managed with the exception of Porto. He plays a brand of football from a bygone era and with the exception of his 2014-2015 title team he hasn't been hugely successful in the league at either of his last two PL clubs. He'd never in a million years be able to convince Levy to splash out massive fees and wages on aging players, which is always what he demands in the transfer market. He'd then almost certainly throw a strop over not getting his transfer targets, as happened at United. He could very well be a good short term option but in the long term I don't think he's a good fit for the club's ethos at all.

That only happened because Levy was shit scared of being relegated. And Redknapp was a new manager.
