They are a hundred billion lightyears ahead of us. I think nearly 100% of posters on this forum had identified DM and fullbacks as areas of desperate need going into the summer, and there was no indication that we even tried to address those areas. Simply had too much to do elsewhere in the squad. Now we need a massive expenditure in areas that should have already been addressed just as our two first-choice CBs have their contracts expiring. It's bordering on impossible to see us doing the business that actually needs to be done in January and next summer. Standing still in Summer '18 will have ramifications that last years and years.
