Looking at the number of people who were leaving, they probably outnumber the police.
The officials seem to be handling it well. I think we'd walk if they weren't.

Kane should have taken leadership and took things into his own hands since the ref wouldnt. Take the team off the pitch. If UEFA chalked it as a loss, that's their problem. Some things are more important than results. Would have made it a huge story and something UEFA couldnt ignore with its standard slap on the wrist type stuff.

what about the thousands of decent Bulgarian fans? cancel for the game because of two dozen morons?
Just name and shame the racist twats but don't punish the normal supporters who came to watch a game of football. This reminds me of tactics employed by weak teachers at school.
Hate speech in general means there should be more speech, not less. Let those with 'hateful' speech (defined by?) try to justify and defend it in the public space.

looks like some of them got chucked out. I won’t encourage violence, but if some of them were to snap their ancle’s leaving the stadium..

Good idea, an aggregate score that seriously impacts the other side and/or go a step further, award the win and 3 points and deduct the offender 3 points.
Given the scoreline seeing out the match is surely sending a stronger message than walking off? It’s not just the racism issue, England need to deliver a performance and build confidence. Seeing out the game will be great for team unity. The book should then be thrown at Bulgaria. Walking off every time against Eastern European sides (and Italy) will ruin the game.

If those thousands of decent fans have an issue, then they should be complaining to their FA to sort this out.
What's naming and shaming going to do to these people? These people don't seem to care that they are caught on camera doing this

There’s no evidence to suggest that walking off is going to have sweeping effects on the society and culture of half of Europe so for me the best message to send back is that it doesn’t bother them and win convincingly

It's hard to tell, but it looked like a relatively small number to me, a particular section. The vast majority of the bulgarians seem to be just watching the match. But obviously I cant tell just viewing it on screen.
Goes to show, football banning orders etc do have a positive impact. You can't stop it 100%, but you can make on impact on the more extreme elements.
