Bit of a shame to see people on here trying to re write History and claim Poch wasn’t all that now

It is probably time to move on but pretty weird seeing people compare him to AVB when we all know how turgid and Bale reliant that period was

Mate, there were people bringing up Christian Gross days yesterday.

I do find it staggering that in the modern game players are like robots and either cannot, or choose not to, make in game decisions themselves.
How can your full backs keep coming so narrow leaving acres of space for opposition to cross the ball time after time after time and nobody, NOBODY, turns round and says 'FFS man will you fkin stay out there and do your fkin job?'
Nope. Not one player. Might upset the poor little cherub. Oh for an old fashioned Captain on the pitch. Must be a very different mindset these days because if I was playing and that kept happening it would piss me right off.
Like when Lloris keeps throwing it out and getting us in trouble despite nearly conceding 6 times from it previously. He just keeps doing it until we do go a goal down and then... yep, keeps fkin doing it. If I was CB he'd get a fkin earful long before we conceded I wouldnt give a shit what coach numbnuts told him to do.
Couldn’t agree more with this

you're being obtuse Liverpool sold players who were no longer of use too them, their system, yet still had a commercial value. Opposed to Vincent Janssen

So did we. They also have failed to sell players that were of no use to them too. Nothing happens here that doesn't happen at other clubs.

Classic Sunday league comment.

We can't lower expectations whilst the club are charging the eye-watering prices that they do. So even though I'd be aghast if we moved for a Howe-type rather than a Mourinho-type, the silver lining to that dark cloud is that maybe such an appointment would lift the scales from people's eyes on the Board and attendances would drop at the new stadium. Which you'd hope would be the catalyst for the club to either lower its ticket prices, or alternatively start acting on the pitch like a club who can justify its highest-in-the-world ticket prices.

Not going to happen though, the ENIC gravy train will keep rolling on.

I honestly don't think the prices would have been much lower even if we had only been involved in the EL. every team that builds a new stadium will increase the ticket prices. Arsenal did the same when moving to the Emirates

Who are you the pc police... If someone wants to dig me out they will get both barrels... Neg rep all day I don't give a flying toss.... Mate
Well that was a predictable response.

You're questioning people's loyalty because they're opinions on an Internet forum differ from yours.
You're then proceeding to name-call, insult and even threaten them?

The question shouldn't be how long you've supported Spurs, it should be, how fucking old are you?!

Interesting but not surprising facts on our away form today since February played 11 drawn 2 won zero win percentage 0%
So all those who think that this has only been a bad run since August need to think again.

Mate, there were people bringing up Christian Gross days yesterday.
It was myself that brought Gross up and it was in the context of saying it was the last time I wanted Spurs to lose for the good of the club. I was not comparing the two managers or periods.

And others went on to wish it to happen this weekend with a fuck you to Poch in the process.

If that's not comparing the two periods I don't know what is.

That’s the crux of it for me. Even though I’m critical of how much ENIC really want to push for on field success as opposed to capital infrastructure projects, we have had the squad in the last few years to have won something and Poch has failed to get us over the line.

That and the feeling I’ve had for quite some time that Poch is only really comfortable working with younger players and running them into the ground, whilst coming up short tactically it makes me doubt whether a rebuild with him at he helm is going to bring us any closer to winning trophies.

In fact, if the rebuild takes longer then expected to even get back to challenging ( and still not winning anything) then I think there’s a good chance to say goodbye to Kane. And to waste a once in a generation world class striker from our academy with nothing to show for it would be an utter and totally damning failure of the whole club.

I think Kane’s gone in the summer. Feels like a huge window, he’s one more ankle injury away from being a shadow of himself and he’s won nothing. One of our own or not, if I was him i’d be getting out pronto. He deserves to win something and we’re not winning anything anytime soon

What the fuck is all this rebuild shit.

It's just more excuses. A few players want to leave, big deal.

This squad should still be more than good enough.

I'm more worried about Kane wanting out because its gone on so long now.

This is the thing, if Poch leaves now it needs a statement manager such as Mourinho to keep players like Kane. He’s not going to hang around to win nothing some more under Eddie fucking Howe. A Howe is a “let’s play the kids” turn; Mourinho is a “almost certainly win a trophy in next 2 seasons” move and that’s what it will take to have any chance of keeping Kane

Sadly, I think you could be right. He’s clearly our best player and I have the feeling it won’t be long until he starts to think we’re holding him back.

I’m hoping we get another couple of years from him, but it’s more optimism than realism.

This is what scares me mostly right now.

We're going on a rebuild with players in the 19-23 bracket. What message does that send? Just wait another 4 years, Harry, then we'll be ready to win stuff.

The time is and should be now!

EDIT: Just to add I'm not against recruiting 19-23 year olds, in fact it's fundamental that we do this. But you have to have a couple of established signings too

He is 26 approaching his peak despite the injuries he is a fine striker who needs to seriously look at where his career is going at spurs, become even with THFC tinted glasses on he isn't going to win anything at the club.
He has to move on otherwise he will end up like shearer a legend yes but unable to be successful at their boyhood clubs, if he was to go I would not be pissed off with him at all in fact pleased that he wanted to show ambition something that levy and co are not.
