Still something massively wrong - the goal masked it somewhat but he still missed some fairly simple passes.

Still hope he can turn it round for us and I don't buy that he's downed tools or lost interest.

He also put in a couple of lovely crosses that both nearly resulted in goals....

he is playing himself back into form, like a few of our players.

Can we stop this confidence bollocks. I’m pretty sure, as our CL semi final win proved, that the guy is almost incapable of expressing normal human emotions. He should’ve been on that show Mindhunter with all the other sociopathic serial killers.

Joking aside, it’s clearly, imo, a desire issue which isn’t the same as confidence. I’m sure he’s as confident in his own ability as he’s ever been, why wouldn’t he be he’s a fantastic player, sadly he’s just counting down the days until he’s out of here. Going through the motions as they say. Well I’m sorry but he can jog on.

If he could do so it'd be a massive positive for the whole team - we all know that when he plays well Spurs play well but now in add in the new signings and maybe. . .

Agree to disagree on this - I don't think it's desire as an inability to pass to another player 10 yards away isn't about desire. There is definitely something wrong with him - might be illness/injury/fitness/form/confidence but I think if he just couldn't be arsed he wouldn't be picked by Poch.

Shouldn't be anywhere near the team now with Lo Celso finally coming back fit. Lo Celso and Lamela should both be ahead of him. I also want Alli to play the central cam role to see if he can find the partnership he had with Kane a few seasons ago.

Hurts that this is how Erikens career is going to end with us but thats down to him, fanastic servant and helped shape us into a CL club but time to move on, if we can I would just get him out in January so we can use his wages elsewhere.

A motivated in form Eriksen plus Lo Celso and NDombele would be beastly to be honest. Such a shame it won't last long.

Yeah that’s fair. I guess no one other than himself knows what the problem is. I do think it’s subconscious, I don’t think he’s deliberately going out and playing shit, he’s a professional afterall but I think coz his head isn’t in the right place and his heart isn’t in it anymore that's why we’re seeing these turgid performances from him this past year. But I don’t think he’s doubting his own ability and is lacking confidence but it could be a bit of both I suppose.

One thing I have noticed, might just be me but he is still very vocal with referees when a decision goes against us. Such as the Son red card on Sunday.

His heart is just not in it anymore. I'm not going to castigate him for that, but its a bit of a waste of a team place by playing him. Hopefully the integration of Celso and Ndombele, and revival of Dele, will lead to us not having to rely on him now.

I don't know how many minutes Eriksen has had on the pitch this season, but it's a lot. Last night Lo Celso made his debut in a tough away game and instantly showed the drive and desire that has deserted Eriksen. He put in a proper shift both offensively and defensively and was knitting passes together, tackling and tracking all night. If GLC can do that straight off the bat I can find no reason to persist with Eriksen who's had weeks and weeks to get his act together. Eriksen's last set of stats v Everton were embarrassing and I'll be totally pissed off if he starts v Sheffield Utd.

I think if he starts now it has to be as a 10 where his sloppy passing doesn’t cost us and weak tackling and he can just concentrate on being creative. He’s never really been a midfielder imo. The difference in Lo Celso tracking and strength is enormous.

835 minutes played, 2 goals, 418 minutes per goal. Lo Celso - 97 minutes played all season.

I bet eriksen starts sat! If he does and we lose I think the fans may start to turn on poch and if that happens I dont think levy will have a choice but to terminate the contract, would be such a sad state of affairs but that's life.

Mauricio Pochettino likes to rotate his players, so I do see a Scenario were Eriksen starts vs Sheffield United, I personally would let him rot in the reserves, collect his pay and then get him out of my club, GLC can do his job hands down.

Problem MP has now is that it does seem that when it comes to Dele and Eriksen, MP prefers Dele, so he will start him overr him but I do not think MP has the Courage to start GLC over Eriksen and not even have the latter near the first team.

Eriksen has become a Cancer and MP needs to cut it out, I wonder what Eriksen has on him.

I think Christian was kept on the hook by Madrid, got his hopes up, and then left devastated when they didn't come in for him.

It's a logical explanation for how he has been. I have huge sympathy for him really.

He's given us 5-6 very enjoyable years - a long time to be in any job, and I hope those around him can find a way to lift his spirits.

He didn't make any meaningful pass yesterday and gave up poseession on at least 4 occasions. Even the goal wasn't hit well.

Eriksen is still ahead of Dele IMO. Dele has been totally out of form for the better part of a year and a half.

Honestly it pisses me off so much how much hate he’s been getting. Criticise him, fine but it feels like soooo many genuinely hates him. I regret doing the same thing to Trippier, hope everyone regrets doing it to Eriksen

Trippier always gave 100% and he didn’t publicly insult the club and the fans. Very different.
Eriksen is a far more talented player of course but I have no time for anyone who thinks they’re doing us a favour by playing for our club. Berbatov is an absolute prick in my eyes for example. I have no time for him at all. How good a player is has nothing to do with it.

Even when he came on he seemed lethargic. We don't need to start him or over rely on him anymore. The one time we actually have some competition for his place is the year he has told us he is off so even now he doesnt have to fight for his place.

These top players know they can get picked up by most clubs. Erisken knows a PSG sort will pay him what he wants, if madrid don't come knocking.

Yeah you're just completely wrong.

Kane to square it?
Lo Celso the same?
The pass to a wide open Foyth?

And a goal just to make you all cry?

Yeah nevermind, don't even know why I bother anymore tbf. People are so blinded by the hate.
