Poch never trusted Moura, anyone saying different is rewriting history.

He was used as a bit part player, let's not forget Poch failing to start Moura when we desperately needed pace in attack earlier in the season.

You didn't exactly have much faith in him.

The guy that when he starts often does nothing.

Yeah, under Poch, but I've moaned about nearly every player in the squad the last 18 months under Poch because they were all playing poorly. That still doesn't excuse Poch's tactical blunders by failing to play Moura in attack when we were crying out for pace earlier this season.

You must of noticed Harry putting himself about today a'la Drogba and Costa both title winners the last time we had a nasty git up front in the same mode as Drogba and Costa was Bobby Smith and guess what he won the title as well .
For me that bit of nastiness is good for the team and bad for the opposition.

Jose's home record is amazing, actually looking forward to turning our stadium into a fortress, it's about time we put a run of wins together now, our fans are owed some good performances at home, that's when you're start to see them really get behind the team.

So a little bit more seldom than every 2nd match in a season where he was asked to inconsistently cover at least 4 different positions. Not too shabby. Again, why not play a goal scorer? It's good for the team, good for the job security, good for the fans.

I don't disagree with you but when you look a little deeper, 5 of those goals came in 2 games which skew the stats a little.

He definitely deserves a chance to get some consistency going. Jose likes him a lot and he can be a huge player for us.

Its funny how we all see things differently for me Eriksen and Moura are two players that I would not have near the starting eleven .
As they say say one mans ceiling is another mans floor.

We'll have to wait and see in terms of a settled side going forward and who will play where. He will still be assessing and learning about the squad he's got.

Entirely possible that today was a tactic for away games, a 4-2-3-1/4-2-1-3 with width and pace either side to transition quickly and make use of the more open spaces, whilst at home against bus parkers we might see an additional creative option in one of the attacking positions.

Agree altho poch playing him up front in a 2 was stupid as that’s not his position, he’s clearly a RW/RAM which he showed today.

Lucas will be key for Jose especially away as he loves counter attacking when possible which we did brilliantly today.

Jose will be looking at our squad thinking areas he could tweak and improve would be:
RB - if aurier goes shit
CB - if Toby or jan are leaving
AM - another goalscoring winger with pace would be great unless he thinks lo celso,Lamela and sessengon are sufficient back ups to play his style but I’d go for a zyiech from Ajax or someone like that if possible as not sure lo celso or Lamela have enough pace and not sure sessengon is enough of a goal threat but Jose will know best :) hopefully they can do a job for him as I like them all very much as players.
ST - Kane has to have a back-up, none of this playing son up there if kane gets injured bullshit, son is our LM pacey threat we need a big man to replace Kane if he’s injured. If Ibra still has a few 90mins left in him then 100% get him in for 6 months otherwise find another capeable back-up.

So between now and start of next season we mabye need 4 signings, so not a really-build at all just a few improvements.

At Chelsea 2nd time round I think he bought courtious, Fabregas, Oscar and Costa, 4 top players who were kind of the core of his team, for us the signings don’t need to be core players mainly back ups who are good enough.

Happy to be proved wrong but I just don't think Moura is good enough in any formation. Looks exhausted from the get go and his all round game is just a bit meh. Thought up until his goal he was poor. Can see Lo Celso or Lamela taking that spot.

Was that the most we have run collectively all season? Pretty sure that was the case for a few players which is great for Jose but pretty sad for Poch. :(

My first post so hello all.

For me Moura just never looks like he has the ball under control. Great off of the bench when given more than 5 minutes but would rather start Lamela.

Regardless of how well Dier comes back to form or not, I think we do need another DM if we’re going to play with one regularly.

Quite possibly. I remember his first Chelsea team away from home was pretty much a 4-5-1 without the ball, and then transitioned quickly to a 4-3-3 with the ball.

Do you know that for fact or is that your opinion?

Mourinho reminds me of Brian Clough in so many ways.

Like Clough, he is charismatic, cheeky, funny, extremely intelligent, outspoken, controversial, articulate, loved by the media and is fascinating to watch in interviews.

Also like Clough, he also hates criticism, has a big ego, has fallen out with colleagues and fellow managers and has got into trouble with the F.A.

However like Clough, he is a a genius and a great motivator and man manager.

Danny Murphy is right.

Mourinho succeeded today by going back to the formation and personnel that Pochettino used to play. That’s not a good reflection on Poch.
