Mourinho wanted Arsenal and Spurs, thing is I don't think their board would have had the balls to hire him.

Clearly this was an undercut from Levy when getting Mourinho. He would 100% be the bookies favourite to take them over. Anyone still calling Levy and Enic our need to have a word. This was a great piece of business and timing for us. Hard choice. But the correct one. ?

I agreed with this, Levy makes tough choices. The telling thing is that have had to appoint a caretaker, this is a reaction to the result and not a pre-planned decision. With Mourinho off the table, their choices are limited.

Looking at their upcoming fixtures, Norwich, Brighton, West Ham, Liverpool, Man City, Bournemouth, Standard Liege, If the first 2 results go badly with a caretaker manager they could be in real trouble, out of Europe and in the bottom three by the new year.

Who is going to join a club in January with a caretaker manager?

I don't think Poch would go there. It is like Espanyol/Barcelona
Ironically, I understand that it's common for managers' severance agreements to include a clause committing them to apply for any suitable managerial vacancies that become available. That doesn't mean that he's got to show any enthusiasm for a particular job, so I wouldn't be particularly concerned if someone leaked the information that Arsenal had received an application from Poch.
For what it's worth, I sense that Poch will be well advised to take a few months away from the game, recharge his batteries, and then take a job elsewhere in Europe.

No worries of Poch going down the road to Arsenal.

I reckon there are two or three jobs that Poch will be holding out for and I very much doubt Arsenal is one of them.

i think Poch will be low down on the list tbh. its also a big assumption that he’d be interested given his past comments, and also that i don’t think their fans would he too pleased appointing our ‘cast off’.

Allegri - available, big name to compete with our recent big name appointment.

Ljunberg/Arteta/Henry/Vieira - fan favourites, the happy clappers would love them.

Well done Levy for getting in first. Would have hated Jose to go there and sort their shit out.
Yeah, as much as Jose might be seen as a risky option in some quarters I'd definitely be shitting it if they'd brought him in to replace Emery. Far more so than the likes of Ljungberg, Arteta or whatever other turd of an ex-pro the plunge up from the depths.

Allegri was lukewarm about coming to us he wants, Real, Barca, PSG it was being reported. I highly doubt he considers Arsenal a tier above us.

People also forget that Poch was sacked by Espanyol (a much smaller club) and still maintained he would never manage Barcelona afterwards.

I find it all very fun, some of our fans need to relax and enjoy the hypocrisy and desperation from the gooners... :ROFLMAO:
