Am I the only one that has no confidence in any of out central midfielders? Weird but I just couldn’t tell you the strongest 2 to play, none really stand out.

Ndombele has shown glimpses but still gives it away when he has played and stamina is a big issue.

I'm more mad at Aurier for just allowing Rashford to walk inside him to get the strike away. Gazza should stop it, but it's so easy, and he let him have 2 others on his right foot too. I hope he's fucked off in Jan. A couple of good games doesn't make up for him being a lazy ****

Sissoko and Winks just doesn't work. There's no creativity, there's no guile, there's no goals. It's just shit and we've lost to a pub team tonight.

simple truth is we are for about the 90th time this calendar year beat by a team prepared to work much harder than our players. most of them seem to think they are world beaters that can stroll about and natural ability alone will win them the game
Nailed it!! Either that or someone is poisoning them all, though the temptation is there.

Jose now knows just how big of a problem he has inherited. A team without any true leadership, drive, courage and level-headedness.

A team that's always one mistake away from putting the team behind the 8 ball. Their first goal came from a mistake by Sanchez, compounded by an error from Gazza. Their second goal was debatable, but still, it was stupid from Sissoko to put his foot in.

We had no calm whatsoever. Nor did we show any urgency. Yet again, they just strolled around the field aimlessly. This team has too many passive players who disappear when the going gets rough.

Sonny, Moura, Winks, Kane were all terrible today. Completely half-asleep the whole game.

Aurier was actually good defensively, but had zero quality on any of his crosses.

Sissoko was okay defensively, but made a ton of mistakes going forward.

Eriksen... have you ever seen a quality player give less of a shit than him? and he is deluded enough to believe the likes of Real or Barca want to invest in a player that evaporates into the ether any time things get hard. Highly unlikely.

On a positive note, I thought Toby played well, as did Verts and Dele.

Stupid mistakes cost us. Man u didn't really threaten too much in the second half. If sissoko wasn't so fucking stupid, a draw away at old Trafford isn't a terrible rest

Jose was never going to fix everything from day one; it’s clear that the issue with contracts has not been resolved and looms over us. Further, out central midfield is simply not good enough (Ndombele aside, although he needs a defensively astute partner), this desperately needs addressing but obviously can’t be sorted yet. Any manager is going to have ups and downs with our current squad - give the man time.

I’m going to pick out Winks because he won’t get nearly as much shit thrown his way as he deserves.

His performance was as equally pathetic as it was idiotic. TIME AND TIME again he’s being suckered into chasing the ball into the opposition corner flag and leaving us totally exposed in the middle. We virtually had no midfield because he was leaving his station at every opportunity.

I never wish an injury on a player but I sincerely hope this means Ndombele gets the run of games in this team that he deserves. Winks shouldn’t be anywhere near this side.

Now do Sissoko.

Another thing that does my nut in and has for the last 5 years, if we win a throw in halfway inside the oppositions half...

dont throw it fuckin backwards 30yds so it ends up on the edge of our goal area. This is the area the opposition want the ball. And we even do it when we are behind with 5min left.
If I was defending against a team that kept doing that I'd be over the fuckin moon.

Front four were non existent, winks and sissoko just let united run through them today. No desire at all from any of the players from the get go. Can’t think of one player who played well.

Lo Celso, maybe, but what is he meant to be? Tanguy needs to be fitter, the guy is getting paid to run for 90 minutes, not 30. He looks overweight.
personally i'd start lo celso in the wide right position over lucas (who is always better off the bench anyway), he plays there for argentina, he could also play instead of winks alongside a holding player. ndombele fitness is weird but he needs to be starting games regularly

Pretty messy throughout, and after the break pretty clueless and lacking in a bit of vim and vigour after we'd got a foothold before HT and as the first half drew to a conclusion we looked the better team.

To be honest I didn't see a lot different from the games we won, there just weren't the wide open and/or prime counter attacks at will for us to gobble up and the opposition tonight had more dangerous attacking threat, particularly pace, to stress test us as a defensive outfit. Everything else was evident in the other games - trying to move the ball quicker yes, but when we're into the cagey phases of play we're not really causing too many issues and there is a lot of nonsense scrappy play, and without the ball we're wide open and too easy to play against.
