Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho insists he will not break the trust of Christian Eriksen after recent talks between the two.
The Denmark international is understood to have told Mourinho of his plans to leave the club either at the end of his contract in the summer, or in January if he can be sold.

It's evident that he hasn't change his mind about leaving, and I wonder whether Mourinho is too bothered by it. If he is, he hides it well.

I'm so past giving a toss about Christian Eriksen.
I understand why people are frustrated, but ultimately what eriksen has done is no different from Modric or Bale. The difference is Levy screwed it up by misjudging his value and now we’ve got an unhappy player who isn’t performing instead of a big wedge of cash to spend. He should have a better attitude but if he’d been sold we wouldn’t be here

As long as he stops playing him, fine.

IMHO he is gone, so I personally wouldn't start him but keep him on the beach and if he is needed and gives a 100% I am grand with that.

I'm not sure Levy screwed anything up tbh. IMO Eriksen has followed his own plan and has by all accounts turned down plenty of new contract offers and negotiations. The ludicrous financial package Aaron Ramsey got from Juve has also moved the goalposts significantly, not just for us, but for all clubs in our predicament, and that all happened when I assume Eriksen's mind was already made up. I also can't begin to imagine the fallout if Levy had sold Eriksen 2 years ago when his value was at it's height. To get an idea of that, try to imagine us selling Harry Kane or Dele Alli for any substantial amount in January. It would be carnage (especially in here).

Fuck, you just reminded me last night I dreamed that Harry Kane had just been killed in a accident or something, and I was watching it in the news all horrified. What a nightmare that was!

Like most people, I have no problem with Eriksen leaving, as you say, Modric and Bale both left. There is a massive difference though, Modric and Bale both performed to the highest level right up until their last game. Had Eriksen given a crap, maybe more teams would have put bids in for him. I think he's shot himself in the foot and teams like Barca or Real will probably think twice now. It also screwed us as no-one will bid very much for him.

We as fans are as much concerned about attitude as we are about ability. It's like we don't want to lose (obviously), but we can put up with it if we see the players giving 100%.

I generally agree, but his performances for Denmark have also dipped massively, so I think there’s other stuff going on behind the scenes.

I get that, but the difference is Bale and Modric were sold before they sulked and before their contracts ran down. I’m pretty sure both would have been trouble if they hadn’t been sold the summer they were. Eriksen should have left in the summer for whatever we could get

I think that part of it is an unwillingness to risk injury by over committing himself with a lucrative free agent move on the horizon. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd perfectly happy with a bench role.
