To clarify, I have no problem with what Jose said. I'm more frustrated with those saying Jose is going to lock Tanguy out of the team. Also with those saying Tanguy doesn't have the fitness or mentality for the league. Guy played in nearly every game last year for Lyon, including dominating the UCL. Fitness was not a concern there. Now, that's a farmers league tbh, but give TN some time to adapt to the higher fitness levels required in the EPL and he's going to be immense. The 60m we paid for him isn't for the first 6 months. It's for the next 6 years+ of him being a colossus in the midfield.
Firstly, what most people are saying is Jose will not pick him unless he changes his attitude. That is something that is very clearly the case and isn’t really open to interpretation.

I don’t feel the general feeling is that he can’t turn it around and he’s automatically gone, but maybe I’ve misread the mood

Is it really too much to ask for one of our big money signings to not be shit/totally unsuited to our team or the PL/be a sick note etc?

Was just about to post the same. Seems whenever we break the bank we never get value for money.

Sanchez has been fine for 40m as has Sissoko for 30m so not all our big money signings have turned out bad. Too early to say about Ndombele but I'm not sure why attitude comes up whenever there's anything negative on a player. I think he's just struggling with the physical side of our league and the volume of games. That doesn't mean he must have a bad attitude. We just need to show him patience. That's why Poch said it could be 2 years before we see the best of him to take pressure off him early on.

Sell in January for half of what we paid and then buy someone who is hospitalised and still in traction.

Can someone translate the quoted post for me. I only speak and read English.

I’ll give it a go :

I say old chap, I think N’Dombele is going to play rather well today and give a comprehensive lesson in midfield play.

And what’s more, I would like everyone to remember this prediction and give me the credit it so rightly deserves amid all the hullabaloo surrounding said players supposed rather rotten attitude and application issues.

A terrible, terrible business.

The irony in this situation is that over the past few years we've had numerous occasions of players declaring themselves fit (Kane, Winks, Lamela etc) who then break down again immediately. They were all classed 'fit to play' by the medical staff but obviously weren't. Ndombele obviously doesn't feel too confident about his recovery but is getting called out for 'bad attitude' not only by the fans, but by the manager as well, and in public. I.d prefer to think that the player knows his own body and wants to be confident in his recovery before he gets on the pitch again.

I’d loved to have seen Levy’s face after spending £60 million (that’s £60 million) on him and then hearing Poch say that! ?
