Stats shown on MOTD for 2019 assists.

Trent Alexandar Arnold was top with 20. Erikson was about 6 the on the list with 14 which isn't bad for a player who has been either rubbish or benched.

I think he will start in a midfield two with Dier against Norwich ahead of GLC, which should provide some fan histrionics

Would like to know your “that great” then if it isn’t Eriksen in his 6 years with us.

Berbatov, Robbie Keane, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric were great and losing them made a massive impact, was very sad.

Yes Eriksen has been a key part of the clubs growth but he’s not a massive loss. Managers seem to respect him, but he’s taken the fans for a ride.

It’s not hard to observe that our form started to decline when Eriksen’s future began to have doubts. I remember the consensus that when Eriksen had a bad game, 99% of the time Tottenham have a bad game. This season I think so far proves that we haven’t yet discovered how to play without him. His recent sub appearances have been good and helped us out massively. I wish he would stay but I don’t think he will?. Hopefully Lo Celso can be a good replacement as time goes by.

God I hope not. Dier with the speed and manoeuvrability of a glacier, and Eriksen who approaches a tackle like my Mrs. approaches a spider (i.e. runs away sobbing).

The decline started with Demebles injuries / eventual departure and accelerated with Eriksens loss of form, the Winks/Sissoko combo and our full backs generally being woeful

Some might even say it started to decline when we sold Walker

Eriksen has been a part of the issue but cant say it was all rosy before that

How has he taken the fans for a ride exactly?
He gave his very best for the club over a long period of time and probably turned down countless opportunities to earn more money and win trophies but he stayed with us and put in 3-4 years of excellent performances where he was the fulcrum of our team, now he feels the time is right to try something new and I have no issue with that, he’s clearly made it known behind the scenes and he’s acting professionally but also trying to not get injured to scupper his final big move all very understandable to be honest.

I think you vastly underestimate how good he was for us just like a lot of fans did with modric.

Eriksen will be a huge loss, him not starting games is already effecting us this season, we look toothless and can’t create anything with dier and sissoko and no erisken.

If he's fully committed I would actually not sell in January.

He could easily be the difference between top 4 and europa league.

Taken the fans for a ride by honoring his contract? Wow.

That’s a bit harsh imo. He’s been the most creative player in the Premier League for 5 years, been a huge part of our success. Like others said when he doesn’t play we look toothless, and still do.

We will miss him badly.

Eriksen “not that great:

We can compare to Lamela for example who costs 3 X times as much, they came in the same TW:

Once a month Eriksen makes a decent pass and people act like we can’t live without him. Conveniently forgetting the rest of the dross performances he’s put in since he decided he’s better than us.

Team sports are about chemistry and collective attitude. We’ll be better when Eriksen is replaced with someone committed to the club and manager.

I’ll bite again.
What a lot of bollocks. Same with Walker.
Nah people forget quicker what good he has done for us.

He hasn’t been good and yes drop in form I get that, but when was that exactly?

Year 2019, good.

The worst year for a Spurs fan in the 5 year period of Poch. We played like shit and all the players didn’t perform.

NOBODY was very good in 2019. Alli was more shit than Eriksen for a longer time. He has found some form now under a new manager, and I reckon Eriksen would do the same if played by Jose. You can see he has in the sub appereances already. And no I don’t think he should be playing if he’s not committed to be clear.

Just because of his contract you all jump the gun.
And you all use the year of 2019 as your main arguments. Fucking hell.

I think that sub appearances probably suit him - he will want to minimise the risk of injury prior to a big move. I am convinced that worry about injury has played a part in his form. I don't blame him - if you know that you are months away from getting a dream move to the likes of Real Madrid or Juventus then you are not going to want to unnecessarily risk picking up a long term injury.

The sub appearances is only because Jose wants to win. Else I reckon he wouldn’t play if he is not signing, and rightfully so. I don’t think he will start today either, even with all the players out, and he really should start. Alli misses him, so does Kane..

I hear this injury stuff again and again, but why are you thinking that and in what situations? Because while I understand the argument it just doesn’t fit with the player.

Eriksen doesn’t tackle like real men do, pussy yes

I have no idea why, it’s probably also why he’s never injured.
