I think the plan is for him to get a Portuguese passport, very unlikely he’d get a work permit otherwise.

Off the top of my head Cape Verde has historical links going back centuries. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has Portuguese nationality too. That’s a complete guess but it could be the case.

They gained independence in 1975, so it's quite recent.

Shouldn’t be too hard to get a Portuguese passport then I wouldn’t of thought.

He could just be one player we are looking at though. I wouldn’t be surprised if the striker loan search goes on until the last day of the window. Other options could open up between now and then.

Still funny.

Edit: I can certainly see this happening. Based on the links its either him, Benteke, Llorente or Piatek. People need to stop looking at these links as Kane subs and start seeing them as Llorente replacements. Noting more than a figure to hold up play and bring Moura and Son into the game.

Transfermarket has him down as dual citizenship

I guess the issue is that we still have 3 games before the window closes, including the next FA Cup tie. Jose doesn't sound too keen on playing without a striker.

We get a lot of African lads come to our club and to sign on they need to provide documents. Unfortunately, it can be a really big issue as these documents are either hard to find, forged or don't exist. This is mostly the case for former colonised countries like Angola, Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau.

I haven't heard of this issue with any from Carpe Verde, so hopefully it's much easier to get hold of documents and track them.

@mill That could be the case

People seemly very underwhelmed by this one. But let’s be honest, with Harry at the club, we will never get a second top top striker willing to be his warm up act.

As for this guy, might be better to sign one who everyone thinks is pony. All the others we signed were meant to be worldies, but barely any of them could hit a barn door!
