Once again, he should have started today, and needs to start going forward! We look alive and direct when he plays!

I have said time and time again that when fully fit he is the heartbeat of the team and sets the tone for the rest.
We won the second half so to speak partly because of him and partly we had no Eriksen who does not tackle but to some its okay because he runs more kilos per game than anyone else . Might as well put MO Farrah in the team he runs about a lot .

I thought Lamela was really impressive int he first half in particular. He looked a lot more pacey than I remember, maybe its just me.

I know it was against lower league opposition but he really looked good.

I think he needs a run of games perhaps in the place of CE and see how we go.

He just needs to stay fit. That is all he needs to do. One of the first names on the team sheet for me.

Needs to stay fit and also have more end product with his work rate and technique h should be getting at least 10 goals a season. that finish with the outside of the foot was sweet.

If he stays fit and that's a big if that won't be a problem.
Already 4 goals and 3 assists and he's hardly played.

Snappy cameo from him last night, with his cheeky Rabona cross to Lucas at the back post. Would have been an outrageous passage of play if that had gone in.

Surprised the "he hasn't got a right foot" brigade haven't appeared yet.

Felt Lamela wasn't on top of his game last night but still managed to have a decent volley saved and played a part in the opening goal. Once he's match fit, he'll probably remain frustrating but will be able to harass opponents for 90 minutes instead of 60. His passing and movement in triangles is superior to most, and you can see the best of it when he links with Lo Celso.

There's certainly a quickness of thought between the two, but overall I thought he worked hard for the team, and scrapped down a couple of lost causes.

Agree on his performance and would love to see him perform in Alli’s position/role.

It's no use having a player give 100% if he's only fit for 50% of the games. He's been here 7 years and has averaged 4.5 goals and 6.3 assists a season. For an attacking mid that's awful. No issues with moving him on, we have to make non-homegrown space in the squad and raise funds for Jose. Thanks but bye.

Like I said... injured once again.

Nothing left to be said about the guy. He should have been sold in the summer or even the year before that. Pointless keeping a player in the squad that can only play 50% of the games.
