Not sure about that, Sanchez had a very good game today, positionally excellent. We’ve just had more games to view his flaws...Makes Sanchez look like the rookie.

At this rate I'll be shocked if he doesn't make the squad. This lad is brilliant. Says everything you need to know about the lad that he keeps a defender of Jans experiance out of the side.
Beggars belief that he was right under Pochs nose and yet did’nt start a competitive match until Jose came in. Would’nt surprise me at all to see Tanganga in the England squad for the Euros.

Because he can play all the over the back line. His flexibility would be great for the squad. Why?
Maguire, Gomez, Tomori, Mings

There's no chance he makes the squad. At this rate I'll be shocked if he doesn't make the squad.
He is a right footed central defender that defensively plays the left back role perfectly. Really unheard of. Even van Dijk would struggle to play that wrong side full back role any better. Obviously not suggesting he is anything close to van Dijk in general, but I can't help wondering how good he will be as a CD if he keeps this up. Just astonishing how good he is.
He’s so impressive it makes me wonder why it took so long for anyone to give him a proper chance.
Guaranteed starter now.

This is a question to our more frequent academy watchers here...I know Tanganga was one of our better defenders while in the youth ranks, but did anyone expect him to make this good a transition into the first team set up?
One thing I’ve noticed today from reading the Spurs Youth thread, is the rumours a number of players are looking to leave after being frustrated with their development pathways. Maybe seeing Tanganga make the breakthrough, and now Jose looking to get more players out on loan for development, maybe that’ll placate some.
The tendency to over-rate is then folllowed by the tendency to call him shit when he inevitably has a dip in form at some point as most young players do.there's a tendency here to over-rate our youngsters but he seems the real deal. composed beyond his years.
Don't understand how he seems to be do good yet many people never really spoke about him, quality player.
Can we say Poch gave him a chance (debut againat Colchester) or was it JM who shown him faith and gave him the chances to show his worth?
Totally agree! I first saw him when Poch took him on the pre-season tour and immediately thought that this is one for the future, based on his performances against Bayern and Juventus on the same tour.I saw a couple of the Audi Cup games in the summer and thought he looked very impressive but he didn't make the bench once in the PL or CL under Pochettino. Mourinho had him on the bench for the final CL group game against Bayern, then as a non-playing sub in the three PL games after Christmas. Started against Liverpool and the four games since.
If Mourinho has him on the bench for PL games four weeks after taking over and starting games a couple of weeks later, he gets the credit 100% on this.
