We got a head scout, a manager and Levy. The head scout might be a director of football or whatever. Even if we had Mitchell/Pochettino or Campos/Mourinho someone will still have to negotiate with the other club. Would that naturally be the person identifying the player? Mitchell might be excellent at spotting talent is he therefore also an excellent negotiator?

That's the whole point of a director of football, otherwise he's just a chief scout.

I am very reliably informed Jose didn’t realise the state of the squad etc when he took the job on. He also was fully convinced we would of bought in a striker on loan in January. Forget his public support of positivity. He feels DL has thrown him under a bus with a wild bunch of cards. There are 4 players who has been playing 40% not fit. Told he feels fans and pundits being unfair. Because when he came he was very adventurous. He is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn’t.

THIS ONE IS ON DANIEL LEVY!!!
NOT NECESSARILY ENIC!!!

I call it as it is. Details are known behind the scenes here.

I'd love to know how he didn't realise the squad wasn't up to it when the majority of this forum could clearly see that this squads best days were behind them. Genuinely feel he got the job because he kept stating he could get a tune out of the squad but it was painfully obvious to even simpletons such as myself that this team was done.

Putting that aside, I do feel sorry for Jose, he's been dealt a fucking rough hand and he must wonder what he's got himself into. If we're sticking with him then he needs backing, from the board and also from the fans. If he's not your cup of tea, fine I understand that but ultimately what I ask of individuals representing Spurs is they give it everything and I do genuinely believe he is doing that. I do feel he needs to suck it up and make more of the players he has available and try and build their confidence by not talking about how hopeless it is without those that are injured. Yes the squad is done in terms of competing with the likes of Liverpool and City but we still have enough quality to not be putting in the performances such as those against Norwich at home.

You can see it now Kane leaves and gets replaced by Giroud on a free. Also the likes of William and Matic join on a free. Levy happy with zero spend whilst announcing record profits !

If Hercs info, which has been passed on in good faith, is accurate then Mourinho is a fool.

I don’t for one second think Mourinho is a fool.

Yeah, I don’t believe for a second that either Mourinho or Levy entered into this agreement without being fully aware of each other’s reputation or how one another operate.
It's looking clear though we'll not have a pot to piss in come the window opening. What with our best player wanting to leave, an elephant the size of ndombele in the room as well, it's really hard to see how we're going to progress on the football pitch.

Fingers crossed for some decent news in the not too distant future otherwise I can see trouble for all concerned. I'm actually quite worried.

Well usually around this time of year we're hearing fantastic news and warchest and big summer, huge sponsorship deals coming etc etc and then it ends up in wild disappointment. Here's hoping for the reversal.

Don't feel sorry for Jose at all. Give me the job for £15 million a year and I couldn't do worse. Hell I would do it for £1million. Poch had said the team needed deep surgery, it was clear to anyone that the team needed a re-build for various reasons. Poch I don't believe was supported or backed properly and there is no way JM will get the billions he wants. Anyway the loner he stays the more decent players in the squad he will fall out with and they will go. Players come and go through the years but the club we hope goes forwards. Right now we have gone sharply into reverse. A drama has been turned into a crisis

When have you believed any of that though?

I wouldn't be so sure. We are just keeping our cards close to our chest in terms of funds.

They'll be good news. It always follows the bad and always remember the salt. I feel agents at play here regarding Kane. Let's see how it goes when he gives his next interview. Knickers firmly untwisted here.

Why would Levy keep his cards close to his chest? It's Levy. I genuinely think we're at the end here, it's gone wrong and as the weeks have past it's gotten worse.

I agree about the salt, there is always plenty.

We’d be foolish to announce to the world that we have millions to spend on players, it’s exactly the reason why the market is the way it is at the moment.

Levy, with his faults, is an incredible businessman. Mourinho is probably the best coach in the world to back, and even though the past suggests otherwise, he will get in the players he wants. They will not be world record signings, and they don’t have to be. The right friendship with certain agents will also come in handy.

It'll be interesting to see if that is actually something that matters considering everybody knows that Leicester have Maguire money burning their pockets and Rodgers announced he wants a rebuild. So if Leicester don't struggle with business then I guess we can finally put to bed once and for all this idea that we don't announce things as some clever ploy to get our business done.

Be interesting to see how hard it is to improve on their starting 11 - I can only think of about 3 to 4 players who wouldn't make it into our team these days. So sad.

Harry Kane has spoken to DL, after the THST release. He is itching to be allowed to leave. Not sure DL will allow that. Hugo wants MLS.

What’s the THST release?

How disappointing if even Kane wants out too, what a fuck up...

So its all a ruse?
Now you've gone and got my hopes up.
Why did you do that
I must admit to bring in JM and not back him would be one of the most idiotic ideas going. He is after a the guy who said £300m is not enough. So we need 350, 400???

Well be prepared to feel like we were fed horseshit as they sign a few players and they either A. improve on what they have or B. Provide solid depth so when they make a sub/rotate it doesn't lower the quality of the 11 substantially. Something I heard wasn't doable a few years ago.
