Do you think they will cancel the premier League & championship? (Genuine Q by the way)
I just can't see it happening with all the legal cases it would cause and also deciding on who makes Europe next season, Leeds & WBA suing because they are missing out on promised land etc
No it’s not! He is allowed to say that in midst of life itself
In one way cancelling this season may be the best thing for lower league clubs from a financial viewpoint.
My local league 2 side Cheltenham Town have stated in the local media that any delay to next season will affect them more as it will cause a delay in them selling season tickets, which is their most significant income boost.
The potential loss of home match gate receipts is not as serious as a loss of season ticket income.
And this comes from a club who are well used to living within their means.
But every other post is saying it. WE ALL GET IT. I feel the same but when I go onto a spurs chat forum to try to take my mind off what is happening id rather discuss spurs and not "fuck football, life is more important, who cares about football, all about family" on a football site!! I get it and I agree but why cant we keep it on topic? There is a general chat about corona on this site. Im just getting fed up reading it when we ALL know it
The season will be written off. We're in this for the long haul. Football might not be back until 2021.
It has to be. Contracts and commercial deals work off calendar years. Not complete seasons.
What happens to free agents?

To make Liverpool, Leeds and wba happy could we not carry over the current points tally over to next season. Might be the best way to satisfy everyone.
Btw can’t see any football with full grounds being allowed in 2020 personally.

That would be madness, can’t see that ever happeningI wouldn’t 100% rule the PL trying to play the games abroad either in countries who’s controls aren’t as stringent as ours. Not sure the players would be keen though

That will completely mess up the season more. Play half your games at home, and then half in a neutral stadium. Imagine if you played most the top teams at home already, you would be getting an advantage.
