I wouldn’t 100% rule the PL trying to play the games abroad either in countries who’s controls aren’t as stringent as ours. Not sure the players would be keen though

FIFA has banned league games being played in other countries.

All it will take is for one first team player to have symptoms and the team will go into lock down again, so even if they start, it could easily stop agsin!

Bloody ridiculous. All about the money, and sod the lives of human beings. Players are human beings. Closed doors does not make players and staff now immune. They will still be exposed to family and friends, and more. The whole thing is totally disrespectful and distasteful, as well as disturbing. Null and void the season! Delay next season. Anything short of that does not convince me the authorities are concerned about our well-beings. Just the well beings of the financials, and potential legal ramifications etc. Says it all

I'm getting really fucking fed up with all this talk of finishing the season.

It's an absolute joke, disgusting when thousands are dying.

Behind closed doors is a laughable proposal.

Not to be distasteful, but after Hillsborough, Heysel etc., we should do all we can to ensure that football takes responsibility at times like these. Liverpool most of all should remember that.

Brady has said 8 West Ham players have it. That could just keep happening at any club. Even if it doesn’t happen in the PL but in division one the games will have to be stopped.

All this speculation about playing in July etc is just pointless. Nobody knows when it'll be safe to resume whether that's behind closed doors or with fans. We just need to wait until it's safe, and then make a decision on whether to continue the season or restart based on the cirucmstances at that time.

This just stinks of 'we gotta make sure Liverpool win the league'.

Yeah absolutely, thats definitely it and you don't sound mental. Nothing to do with the fact not finishing the league has far more implications financially and logistically than finishing the league fixtures in some way. No its definitely a conspiracy in favour of Man City Man Utd Chelsea Liverpool for some reason.

Playing behind closed doors:
- fans will still hang about outside ground (think Anfield after Liverpool winning title)
- police needed to tell them to f#@π off home
- fans will go to eachothers houses to watch
- medical staff have to be present + ambulance for insurance

It should not happen.

People waiting for an ambulance because grown men want to kick a ball about.

@sistoney67: Juventus’ players have agreed to the club stopping their salaries for four months due to the coronavirus pandemic. Club estimate the move will save them €90m (£80.7m). Should games restart in club will look at the situation again ‘in good faith’.

Good on them. These sort of actions will prevent some clubs going to the wall.

Not really, more like it stinks of "we have to fulfil our contractual obligations of we're going to lose a billion or more quid"

Amazing that this actually got negged, people are real really hung up on these pro Liverpool conspiracies as if that would make an iota of difference to them as far as money or potential law suits are concerned.

I think the Prem League and the TV companies will have to come up with a deal that works for both. They rely on each other so they aren't going to screw each other over on this. I struggle to see how the season will get finished. Unless this somehow burns itself out which I don't believe it will from the experts are saying. There are going to be some pissed off teams but they are need to look at the long game.

Even if there was any truth in a liverpool bias (which is total horseshit), that concern would have gone right out the window compared to the financial shitstorm they are currently facing.

What happens if we get a spread of 8 players with it come June/July? Postpone games again?
