We need to give him time - those injuries totally destroyed any chance we had this season and I honestly don't think any manager in the world could have coped with it. Fingers crossed we get better luck with injuries next season and with the benefit of a couple of new signings and a full pre-season there are plenty of reasons to feel positive.

The comparison between Poch's last 20 games and Mourinho's first 20 games was very insightful. That came just before our major injury crisis, and showed Mourinho had massively improved results with the same set of players, even if the performances were not really better.

It definitely feels like new start with all the returning injuries and time off for planning that mourinho has had.

Insightful indeed, but for the common man, it's only what we see that matters...

Why does this matter. Too many people are happy to write off what Poch did at Spurs. He is now gone so can we just respect what he did and be grateful for his leadership. Now lets hope Mourinho is equal to the task he has taken on, I still will probably never like Mourinho but I just want Spurs to do well.

I think that all it's reasonable for people to do is keep an open mind. It's disheartening for every defeat to be greeted by "told you so - he needs to go " or "can't wait until Levy sees the light and brings in a young, ambitious manager" .
I agree. Whether Mourinho works out long term or not, he's our manager now and he needs to be given support and a decent amount of time: one full season (i.e. next season) at least barring relegation form.

My feelings are just as clear as when he signed. I don't like him but i trust him, but i kind of don't fully trust him and i sort of quite like him.

Poch needed to go and we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to sign Mourinho. At one stage only city and liverpool amassed more points then the injuries came in

Negatives i need to see changes on is the negative media talk. It was way too much like we are prem minnows. I hope that changes.

Also I would like to see better football. Although we were winning when he first joined and we were scoring a few it wasnt great football

He stayed away from his family and lived with his coaches. That is huge dedication. You can tell he really wants to succeed with us more than ever

No excuses now

Agree no Moaniho-ing about, he needs to prove he is as good as he thinks without spending his way out and actually managing and more importanyly developing a squad including blooding in youngsters and without having a plethora of extremely high monetary valued players sitting on a bench and

He gets a pass from me this season. Either go hell for leather for 4th, or experiment and blood some younglings and potentially finish lower.

Next season, we will see how it goes. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm quite excited again, and I wasn't at the start of this season. Fingers crossed Jose managed to get in the lads' heads during lockdown and we hit the ground running. No more injuries, please...

With a fully fit squad needing match-time I doubt we will see much of the 'younglings' playing however the emergence of Tanganga is one of the few positives we have seen this season.

Whether Jose is successful or not only time will tell we just do not know until his tenure is over .
What I find unhelpful and I must say distasteful is the likes of Tim Vickery saying that Jose is "the wrong choice " or "his boat has gone " and he will not play the Tottenham way to some extent I am paraphrasing his words .This was on a spurs bog .
This sort of vibe is really not going to help the club the players or the manager we must all get behind and support this manager if we truly want success for our club . People like Vickery saying if we fail " I want to fail playing the Tottenham way and lose in a blaze of glory "
This playing the "Tottenham way " is a myth in my time going to spurs which is 70 years I can identify the times we played the " Tottenham way"
!950/1/2 under Arther Rowe then 10 of the Nicholson years were really good then for 4 years Burkenshaw was good then 2 years of pleat then 2 years of Venables and then there was the Graham league cup win the Chelsea league cup win . in my seventy years of going to spurs
we have had 23years of real success or if you want "playing the Tottenhamway" and 47 years of average poor and downright dross and except for the Martin Jol efforts at resurgence and Poch flirting with success but ultimately failing we have played all types and kind of football and this "Tottenham way " myth must not be used as something to metaphorically bash any incoming manager over the head with .
By the way if you look up Jose record with different clubs he is in fact an attacking manager except when he smells danger when he then becomes pragmatic {defensive if you like } and this is adapting to the opposition .
For goodness sake get behind the manager and stop with the negative vibes .

I'm not fan of Mourinho the man or even the coach. I feel he's passed up opportunities to develop a progressive style of play in favour of an ultra-pragmatic approach when he took over this season. I just don't like this style of football.

However, as much as I don't like his style of football his record does speak for himself. I do think now he has time with the players and has a fully fit squad, we will see an upturn in results for rest of the season - I'm actually pretty confident we'll make top 5. And next season I could definitely see us picking up a trophy while grinding out results through the season.

Fans like to throw around the 'we need a rebuild' phrase without acknowledging that already started with the signings of Lo Celso, NDombele, Sessegnon, and Bergwijn. When you add them to Kane, Son, Alli, Alderweireld, Lloris it's apparent we already have a good squad. If we can sign a backup striker, DM, and right back I don't think we'll have many problems at least competing for top 3/4 next season.
