Tried to watch it but after two minutes went back to the cricket vodcast, far more entertaining!

i think they might get something against Chelsea. from now till then, chelsea has 2 more competitive matches so no more "excuses" that they didn't have enough recovery time.

but knowing Moyes... they will say Chelsea has more match fitness... lol!

hate it that i am right but forgotten to put some money on it.

Even if they stay up, there’s a lot written about the mess that they are in financially. If they can’t afford to invest, they could come massively unstuck, their squad isn’t balanced.

They could end up going down next year with a record low points total. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

On the bright side, we get another year of them predicting insanely that they will finish above us, and another year of me trolling the KUMB Fansite for shits and giggles...

They'll stay up unfortunately. That win last night was massive for them. Plus Bournemouth are gone and Villa don't have enough goals in their side.

It's not a foregone conclusion.

There's 3pts in it currently.

They have to play Man Utd.

Plus games against Watford and Villa; who wants it more?

Their games against Newcastle and Burnley are critical imo, because it sets the scene for their final run in. Will they go into those games with a lot of pressure on them, or will they have a 4 or 5pt cushion?

We'll find out within the week :)

Yeah good point. They could easily get nothing out of those two games. But the reason I think they will be ok is that I cant see Villa or bournemouth picking up many points.

But I wouldn't hang too much on their win against chelsea. They are another team, like us, that they seem to raise their game against.

Compare our squad to theirs, our squad looks a lot more balanced than theirs, and worth about 2.5x as much. They seem to have almost no left sided options, we just lack a bit of depth and need some signings: RB, DM, CF. Look at the age of their players, and how many are absolutely past it. Yes Wheelchair, I’m looking at you, and Noble, Ogbonna... “key” player who will cost to replace. Or should I say ? ? players ?

With luck this is the team that sends the ‘Appy ‘Ammers down next year ?

It probably won't come to anything, but worth a mention:

Can't even pay instalments for their player £5.45m missing allegedly for the Haller transfer. Was meant to be paid in May but has not materialised.

Well their performances against Newcastle and Burnley weren't much good; 1pt from 6.

They still may have that 4pt cushion going into the last three games though, depending on what they do against Norwich.

That's assuming Villa get nothing against Utd and Bournemouth get nothing against us (dangerous prediction, I know).

Wins for Villa, Bournemouth and Watford over the weekend.

Even though West Ham also won, the pressure is beginning to mount because of the respective fixtures each team has to play.

Exciting end to the season at the bottom!!
