As we've been saying since he arrived. He's clearly talented and offers some of what we are so sorely lacking - he needs consistent game time.

This season is over for us so if he plays Ndombele and we ship a couple of goals, but is ready for next season then I think it's worth doing.

I feel the same about blooding some of the youth - Cirkin, Skipp and Tanganga/Parrott back if/when fit. This season is done, let's try and build for next.

WTF, has happened to Tanganga? He injured?

If he can walk I’d be starting him every game too. Totally forgot about him but he is a reason to be slightly positive about the future imo. Not many kids can break into the team and play in all positions across the back 4

Stress fracture of the back I think.

Do you not watch Spurs? How do you not know Tanganga is injured?

Don't think there is a need for this sort of thing. People asking a question about a Spurs player in Spurs Chat seems a fairly OK thing to do?

I think he’s a bit salty for me having the audacity to question him in the Lamela thread. Or feels like that anyway.

45 min from this guy made me realize how low technique standards we currently have for most of our players. It's just unbelievable. When he came on his first touch was an accurate first ball pass forward, then he run to the wing and again made a first ball very decent cross. And I was like shit, midfilders can do that? Maybe 3 other players in our team that can do that: Kane, Lo Celso, and Son. But the real Son. Not the fake one they send us from Korean army.

Another example, ball in the air, Sissoko tries to get it to the ground. No players around him in 10 meters. Beng, the ball bounces off his calf and he looses it. The same ball comes to Ndombele, Bour player approaches him and with one touch he gets ball to the ground, push it forward and go past players.

The best/worst thing is that it wasn't event some unbelievable performance from him. He was sharp and different to all our players but you could see he doesn't have much game time in his legs. But technique-wise his like 71234896123 miles away from all our midfield players. Yesterday he was the only player who when received the ball I was thinking: ok maybe something will happen now.

But we need players around him making runs. Bergwijn and Son would be the obvious choice. No idea what's wrong with Son but he's just doing everything wrong now. I would honestly put Lucas instead of him. We need Lo Celso next to him to retain possession. And good DM which we don't have. But man, this guy has to play.

I 100% agree that he had intent on his passing. He did all his fancy dribbles and got away from one or two Bournemouth players.

But every such move, invariably ended with him losing the ball to Bournemouth with a stray pass.

At the end of 90min, before injury time kicked in, with all the breaks in the half, Ndombele was gasping for air - unable to keep up

He can be world class dribbler/passer - but can he play his game at highest level for full 90min, week in week out with some midweek games in between ? . I am all for giving him the chance to start in next games. But a word of caution - dont get your hopes high on him. In a physical game, if he cant match the physicality, he will always come 2nd best.

Bit like the Sheff United game not sure you could be critical of him and you could find the positives of him being the player that most here thought he would be at the time (passing, vision, skill with ball at feet etc)

Not sure he'll start against Arsenal, but I'd like to see more than 45 minutes of him.

Yes there is. He has been missing for five games and Jose has spoken about him at least twice in depth. How does a fan who has strong opinions in other discussions on these boards not know where he is?

That would suggest to me he doesn't even watch Spurs matches yet likes to question me about my own opinion on the club.

I have no doubt that if Mourinho just put his arm around Ndombele and genuinely tried to work with him, it wouldn't be like this. But instead he only knows how to be an asshole.

The player has to take his own share of responsibility. The agenda against Mourinho is blinding people now.

Superb post. He is the only player we have who can pass vertically through the lines, I would also be interested to see how it would change Gio's game. I can't help but feel that in a more aggressive midfield in terms of passing Gio would also improve greatly.

Skipp has shown in the past that he can move the ball well from deep. Gio looks to me like he's losing the will to live with such a static front line. I want to see Skipp, Ndombele and Gio in a midfield 3 and I want to see one or other of the latter 2 getting into threatening positions and shaking stuff up in the front line. We haven't got anything to lose now.

Explains some of your other views.

Cool, I thought it was because I questioned you in the Lamela thread and now I know.

Sorry, in future I’ll keep my opinions on players to myself until I know the full extent of our injury list.

Just try watching some games for once before disagreeing with others that actually do.

Now you’re just being weird. Really weird. I think you’ve taken it all a little personally mate.

You can say I'm weird, I'm cool with that and I will say your a typical spurs fan that rings up Talksport at 10pm on week nights!
