That doesn't really make any sense. I've lived in Asia for almost 15 years and love it here. I wouldn't want to live back in England or Europe. Why do you assume he isn't attracted by Asian culture?

If he is interested in Asian culture, the Chinese league would be a good fit and he could earn loads of money at the same time.

Saying that, I do think money is his main motivation. He could easily go to a more competitive league and then retire in Asia.

You answer this yourself by also thinking Money is his main motivation. 31 years old wants to play football but the only option he has had any interest in is to the only league he would have had a pay rise in. The culture would be something to appreciate and likely enjoy but you think playing in London & Madrid suddenly means Munich? Milan? Would not be attractive to him? Needless to say that is if they even held an interest (Bayern did?).

So you think it’s inconceivable that a man who has spent his life working in two European capitals and has through those jobs plied his trade in countless other great European cities would be interested, while he’s young enough to still take full advantage of it, in experiencing the totally different culture and way of life of an oriental city?

Would you say the same if he was, I don’t know, an ISDA negotiator within a major bank?

To answer that you would have to look at the bigger picture right? We are comparing a top top footballer playing in one of the top 5 leagues in the world, to play in one thats like around 20th or worse. There fore he would be getting a pay rise while not having to really put in the same kind of effort effectively.

Would this negotiator be going to a worse bank to earn more money in the knowledge he would not really need to work as hard to earn it? Because in that scenario the culture is a bonus if he wants more money less stress at work. I guess when he leaves Madrid we will find out if the Asian Culture appeals as he will still have that option just not on ridiculous money after the cap.

If Real were to just terminate his contract and let him move on a free he will be off to China in a flash.
He would get more money there than at United/City/Chelsea.

Absolutely no way in hell he comes back to us unless it’s a loan.

I thought we had all caught up on the rule change that China can no longer pay large salaries to foreign players. China WOULD have been an option for getting out of Real Madrid and keeping a high salary a season ago, but it isn't anymore.

As a free agent I believe Bale would almost certainly stay in Europe for the benefit of his family also.

Yes new wage cap is 49k per week in China, although I'm sure some bonus or dodgy payments for appearances or marketing a la Neymar could happen.

We can not also claim it is disrespectful to the Chinese culture or nation that players going purely for money. Let's face it the Chinese Super League has thrown money around at all superstars interested. They surely ain't sitting there thinking we could have got him for half that 400k because of the culture? So its not disrespect its facts.

As i have said for the past 74 transfer windows, if we, Madrid and most importantly Bale want this move to happen then it shouldn't be beyond the parties involved to come up with a deal i.e. Madrid pay up half his contract, we pay a hefty signing on fee and pay GB a 'sensible' wage.

Sadly i suspect at least one of the three parties involved will not be sufficiently up for it!

still this. If everyone wants it then there must be a deal to be done. Bale's little speech yesterday suggests he is up for a move, albeit he obviously didn't say a move to Spurs!

As fanciful as it seems, the move makes a lot of sense to us. Gives everyone attached to the club a boost, we have one of the best front three's in the world and we have someone, in Bale, who can genuinely do a job through the middle and take some minutes of Harry. It also means we don't bring someone in who longer term will block Parrott's path to the team...

Make it happen!

Real should allow him to go off on a season long loan.

It might break the deadlock. If Bale spends a season away from Madrid, he may get used to it and agree to move the season after.

Such fickle ****s at Madrid that if he spends a season away on loan they’d probably try to sign him.

Madrid and Bale are waiting to see who blink's first. If Bale does not blink he will get a mot of money for doing nothing. If I was Madrid's president I would offer him 30% of his outstanding contract to cancel it and let him be a free agent. They'd save their club tens of millions by doing that. No club will pay a fee and match his wages - they are in dream land if they think anyone will.
I am sure a read on a couple of newspaper columns that Madrid offered him 18 million to relieve him of his contract and he turned it down. Adds to the conflicting speculations as to whether or not he is choosing money over football

Off at half time. Out of shape because he’s been playing too much golf or that he’s off to London via EasyJet having his medical?

So they offered less than 3rd of what is left on his contract? (Roughly) I don't blame him for turning that down
