Official site being a bit playful. They just posted a pic of Bale in their countdown to the PL start (3 days left). They probably just didn’t want to use Rose.

I do not care however unlikely it is I am dreaming at the end of a tough day at work... a front three of Kane, Son and Bale, with back up of Milik, Moura, and Bergwijn. That would simply be incredible.

Nah I still think he’s decent.
I just don't know. When we sold him he was a bonafide superstar, carried the team, destroyed teams etc etc ... Now? We still don't have a striker and cash is at a premium ...

Fucking hell, I'm a grumpy old man.

United have reached a breakthrough for sancho apparently, probably still loads of hurdles to go.

Bale isn't going there anyway IF he comes back to England.

with Dele/Lamela as number 10 and Hojberg, Winks, Lo Celso and Ndombele in double pivot role - that looks good .. Sissoko and Gedson working as auxiliary midfielder and right back , not that bad depth in our midfield and attack !!

He won’t reduce his wages to come to us - why would he; he only needs to play a handful of games at Real; play golf and live in a beautiful house in a lovely city. Come back to the UK? He’s not that daft

Can someone wake me up in 50 years when Gareth Bale is officially dead, because apparently that’s the only thing that will stop him being linked with us

HE’S NOT COMING

Depends how ambitious he is really. He's got a few more years left in him. He can do whatever he likes after he retires, and has enough money to, well, make his great great grandchildren live rich comfortable lives. It wouldn't be daft to move for less money in the UK, but it is also perfectly understandable why he wouldn't. It depends on what he values.

The indications are he is perfectly happy with his situation, but, the situation in the Wales team, where he wasn't considered sharp enough to see out the game against Finland, may affect his thinking.
