£40m and Foyth for Dias. Pay them £10m a year.

Seems like a deal that could suit everyone.

What we really need is a few fans from a Benfica forum to come on here and negotiate with you. At the moment you are outlining a deal to the wrong audience and quite frankly wasting your time, which with someone who clearly has mastered the "art of the deal," is a complete travesty. On here, all we are, is just a set of Spurs fans who have absolutely no say in anything to do with transfers. If you are going to pitch a deal like that, you really need to find some Benfica fans, who have absolutely no say in anything to do with their clubs transfers. But I warn you, those boys on the Benfica forums are notoriously tough negotiators, so you are going to have your work cut out to close this deal. Have you thought about the possibility of adding some performance related payments if they don't initially bite?

Jose has not seemed all that enamored with Sanchez. If he has a chance to get a truly top class CB and we had to sell someone unexpected, that would be my guess.
At the same time King has publically said that the one he enjoys especially to work with is Sanchez because he reminds him of himself. The legend defender hired as a defensive coach likes him (a lot) - that should have some weight..?

I think something is going on behind the scenes here.

We hardly have any money at all is what we are being fed. Scrape 2 good value deals with Hojberg and Doherty.

All of a sudden we sign Bale on 300k a week (this is very un-tottenham), Reguilon for 30mil and are linked with big money moves for Ings and now Dias. We also sign Alex Morgan the biggest star in ladies American football.

Not suggesting a takeover but has some investment been lined up? Stadium naming? Not sure.

Mate of mine who works at Spurs said Amazon naming rights.

I'm not ITK and he could be chatting shit... But just throwing it out there

I don't have time for this nonsense, I've got to join the boys over in the match day thread, we are planning our tactics for Sunday.

Because of Marcus Edwards I do watch a lot of Portuguese football and he is without doubt one of the best players in that league and he is just what we need, he can play both CB and DCM and as a player he is very good at tackling, good in the air and he is strong and is very much a leader who also has very good passing ability and he can read the game very well.

If we was to buy Dias this would be like buying say a Alderweireld at age 23, not saying they are the same type of player because they are not but I am saying Dias can be as good a buy as say Alderweireld or Vertonghen was for us.

Not like me to get involved with transfer side of things but if we could get him it would be a amazing buy.

If a club is brave and bullish enough, it makes sense to spend big on the right types of players, in this current market.

Prices are depressed, so there's a lot of money to be made/ value gained in a couple of years time.

We can raise the funds, it's just about wages and whether Levy wants to take the risk.

I think we've seen with Bergwijn and Reguilon that the club is prepared to spend money on quality players in their early twenties who become available unexpectedly. With Benfica facing FFP pressure and having fallen out of the CL, hopefully this presents another opportunity to swoop for a highly rated player who represents a smart investment.

With Jose having Mendes' backing you'd have to think we'll be strong contenders for the players Benfica looks to sell to balance their books, should Levy be willing to push the boat out.

100% this. It actually is a buyers market this time. This is a really good window to do smart deals if we think players are “on sale” and we can scrounge up the $.

Levy definitely had some SARS insurance, what is going on. Don't know much about Dias but he is amazing on FM2020 and he was good against Croatia. Very good in the air.

Amazon: “Its all or nothing. That’s our final offer”
Levy: “All please”
