One thing I’ve never understood, and I’m not trying to be rude to any particular posters here, is why we have to announce something in line with the USA being “awake” etc - as if in 3 hours time they won’t still find out, or someone won’t say “oh did you hear that Spurs signed Bale earlier” - America would never wait for the UK to wake up for “maximum media exposure.”

I seriously doubt it, I know Alex Morgan is a big name in the U.S and a few of us know who she is but she is overshadowed immensely by Bale on the global scale. I know she has a lot of followers but most of those are U.S citizens who only tune into the football world during a world cup. It'd be best to let her PR be seperate to Bale.
