Obviously they communicate it to a journalist like Ally Gold or Jack Pitt-Brooke who then communicate it to the masses. Would not have been difficult.

Well it could have been difficult if they were trying to get it done. It's a bit like trying for a player by 11pm on TDD and saying "Why couldn't they tell us at 6 that they couldn't sign him??"

We don't know if there has been a delay or anything tbh. After all, we're still in a pandemic where certain social interactions are cumbersome.

It make sense to leave the announcement till tomorrow.

Given the time both players arrived at the training ground, completed any outstanding parts of their medicals, met the staff, signed contracts and then did photo’s and videos for our social media platforms... it’s understandable that they haven’t been presented tonight. No point doing it 10pm onwards as they will be knackered and their won’t be much of an audience tuned into the Sky Sports has the various news channels at this time.
You’ve hit the nail on the head, not sure why you have disagrees and wtf’s

Or just wait and the club will announce it
Would normally agree but this isn’t a normal transfer. Not just the fanbase but the worlds media waiting on it. Not to mention those hanging around the training ground. All it would’ve taken was a quick line fed to Ally Gold or another of the journos to calm everything down.

I guarantee if the club had have rushed out photos, videos etc some of you would have been saying "is that it? a club legend comes home, he deserves more than that"
I appreciate what you’re saying but I’m surprised they didn’t even tease it, with say a picture of a shirt and a number or something similar, even if they were waiting to do something bigger tomorrow. I don’t know, just feels a little ant-climactic after his arrival, but maybe that is simply due to all the appointments and image rights and so forth.

Everyone is over thinking this. We haven't announced Reguilon either. Keep remembering that when your reading this injury shit.

We will announce tomorrow.

Sorry, I meant the communication of the message wouldn’t have been difficult. I appreciate a lot of work has gone on at Hotspur Way today. Just feel they really should’ve pushed to get it done this evening.

It can only mean it’s not 100% done. Otherwise they’d have just announced it. And even if it’s 99.9% done, that means there is a chance it could go still pear shaped. Not sure how we’ve messed this up so badly. I can only presume the scan showed a potential problem (e.g. his knee may need surgery or longer to heal), and they’re seeking 2nd or 3rd opinions. They clearly have done the photos and number allocation but cannot for whatever reason ratify the deal.
I honestly believe its just because they want to make a good show of it, with all the interviews, videos etc.
There's no need for them to rush it, as much as we would've liked them to.

Levy just wants to remind us that he has our balls in a vice-like grip. Either that or maybe you lot pissed off one of the other directors, not sure which one that could be though.

Anyway....I was listening to talk sport earlier and Darren bent was on i think, saying we don't what bale we are getting etc no form injury prone etc..and not sure he is as excited as at the prospect of utd getting sango who is far more exciting to watch ...i turned it off at that point Jamie O did disagree but still......what a muppet bent is imo!

Think that was Agbonlahor

Also a bit dark out innit. When we signed Doherty

I get that from a fan perspective. Or more accurately, from a fan perspective in the age of Nownownow. But, this isn't a massive issues for the club, and the worlds media waiting on it is both an overstatement and they'll wait. I don't think it really will have any significant impact whenever it is announced.

They’ve been filming those all day. No reason not to announce unless there’s a hitch.

No fucking way did he have a medical in Madrid that wasn't comprehensive. If they did then we should not be paying whoever they are.

The only thing I can think of is that it’s going to be a really good unveiling video...

Perhaps....

Why would the club make a comment on this when they haven't said anything on it so far?

People got worked up and excited that it is happening and want to know everything before it's happened.

Maybe they want to do it in style, with everything together, flooding the internet.
As opposed to releasing a pic and shoddy vid tonight, then everything else tomorrow.
The players didn't arrive til lunchtime and still had medical procedures to do, paperwork and other shit.
Then it's all got to be edited and made to look nice.
