When you see Ndombele do that - release us on a fast break with Kane and Son such quality, you can see the potential of this side.

SO what on earth do we do about the fact we are a complete shambles in every other part of the pitch. Is Mourinho's shape and instruction wrong? Are the players not listening?

Never ever seen a Mourinho side look so baffled in their structure.
Zero organization in defence.

Both CBs just run backwards.

What a dissapointing half. it is shocking how damn weak we are in the battles. Always too far away from the opponent., no Aggression. I am really baffled what Mou is telling them? I mean he mentioned what we see in the documentation, but on the pitch it is still mostly a shit show.

Rubbish excuse. He has had a year, new players etc. This is how he sets up teams.

What's a rubbish excise?

We have been a hit and hope team for longer than Jose has been in charge.
I'm not making any excuses for Jose just pointing it out

Get two destroyers who just win the ball and play tanguy just ahead of them for them to keep passing to. That’s the formula.

Hugely worrying half despite the moment of brilliance there at the end. I genuinely have no idea what our approach the match was supposed to have been. No identity whatsoever.

I’d honestly have been much happier if we’d sat deep and looked to hit them on the break, at least that would have been a discernible plan.

Winks cannot come out after half time.

Once again he’s taking no responsibility in the midfield. He ruined a counter attack by leaving a ball assuming Kane would take the onus when he was making a run for Winks to build the counter.

Jogging around the pitch, no pressing, no composure, nothing. Get this idiot off the pitch.

Lo Celso on for Winks and Bergwijn on for Moura please

This. We need to keep hold of the ball in midfield.

Still worried that Jose is finished as a manager. Just sitting back and hope for a counter attack will not fly in he long run.

Winks slows the ball down and never wins it. At least Hojbjerg occasionally wins possession.

I've come to expect us not to play decent football, but defensively we haven't been good enough under Mourinho so far. The front four badly attempt a press and are too easy to play around, while the back six play as if we're parking the bus. Lucas and Son can't play wide together in a 4231.

I’d love to see our front 3 moving around without the manager saying so, son popping up on the right for ten mins or so to have a go and give the defenders something different to think about. A bit more freedom and flexibility in that area could make a difference. Especially when bale is fit but there’s no reason not to be doing it right now

saved by a brilliant play there, but we can't ignore we've looked clueless out there for the majority of the game.. genuinely worrying, we can't rely on these flashes of brilliance

Winks out. Lo Celso on.

I thought we signed Hojbjerg as our DM, but Winks is deeper. Don’t get it.

If Ndombele gets subbed for 2nd half. I’m actually done with Jose

luxury player he may be, but no one else in that midfield is doing that

Well done Sonny, nice finish. Kept us in it.

But this team is so fucking disjointed. Some press, some don't. The front 3 are either miles apart, or practically on top of each other.
Midfielders just don't move, definitely no pass and move. They don't go with runners. And Dier and Sanchez seem to have no communication with each other, one long ball over the top for Ings, was a fucking disgrace.
