I think that goal nicely highlights a way to immediately improve Spurs. Son and Kane should be playing upfront together.
Moura doesn’t add anything meaningful to give him a place in a front 3.
Put Son central where he can impact the game with goals more easily.
5-3-2 with Bale and NDombele ahead of Hojbjerg.
Two attacking fullbacks to give the width.
Extra CB for cover
Hjobjerg feeds TN, then he links to let the fullbacks top two and Bale go play

We looked just like West Brom scoring a scrappy goal against City just before the break. Complete undeserved garbage. How much longer are we supposed to tolerate Mourinho before Levy can admit to himself he made a huge mistake bringing him here in the first place?

Gio on for winks should hopefully force Hojberg to sit in the middle and by doing so, clear up his role a little biy. Winks is basically playing where he (Hojberg) should be playing and doing exactly the same thing as him, which means they're getting in each other's way. There's no coordination or structure between the two at the moment

Still early enough in the season to sack Jose and bring in someone who plays football with what is an amazing squad now
But he'll get the full season which I guess he should.

Bit harsh on Davies he been one of our best players today IMO. Sanchez has been awful get him off.

Davies has been pretty solid, even some decent touches in the other half earlier on before the whole team went to shite.

The team needs clarity and organisation.

Toby <> Dier
Gio <> Hojberg

Drop Winks back to shield the back 4. Let Tanguy and Gio link and look for the runs of the front 3.
And just give it to Harry and Sonny.

If we were producing this sort of football under any other manager he’d be hounded out.

We’re now less than the sum of our parts, and that’s always a pretty good indicator that the players have had enough of the manager.

How is Ndombele playing? Commentators on BBC saying he looks "despondent"
Actually for about five minutes before the goal I thought he'd got the ump which put a bit of fire in his belly, he got a yellow for a pretty ordinary foul and within minutes he'd fought through two foul/tackles to deliver the ball to Kane that led to the goal.

Still relying on ad hoc moments of brilliance, even against the likes of SCBC. It’s still early days in his tenure, but nothing so far suggests Jose can make a team out of 11 players.

Some very worrying signs. Players dont seem happy at all. Whether its the performance, score, system or mouinho only time will tell, lots of frustration on show
Good- they shouldn’t be happy with the way that they are performing.

I'm gonna try to be fair...
Winks is not who we need in midfield.
PEH is not a ball winning midfielder.
Both are clueless.
IF we have a better midfield two, I think we'll perform better imo.
Dier is not a very good defender.

We've upgraded on LB imo.

Players need to ignore Mourinho's 'hit it long' tactic and give t ti Ndombele as much as possible.

Does he have a tactic? Maybe the players resort to that as there is no useful tactics from JM to define the way we play. The way I saw the team talks on Amazon could possibly be the same JM, no useful instructions. I remember Danny Rose on he docu bemoaning us always hitting the ball long. I dont think he would be doing that if it was a specific instruction.

Going forward we work well with the right players/tempo, defensively we look hugely suspect especially down the wings

Agree. But only works if we get on the ball and the Højbjerg Winks combo isn't doing that.

I like Winks but Sissoko-Winks doesn't work. PEH-Winks doesn't work. Alli-Winks Starting to doubt Winks will actually work with any of our options in that role. The closest to something good is GLC-Winks.
