Lovely take by Sonny.

Its a shame for Dier, in Poch's first two years he was the man but he shouldn't be anywhere near the first 11 now, absolute liability.

JJ has summed it up in commentary, we look like we don't know what were supposed to be doing, I was saying the other day how much we look like utd when Jose was there. I do think we have enough quality to cover a few cracks though.

Honestly I think another manager will let our players off the leash and get us playing more positively, just like what happened when Mourinho left United.

Almost every game we look utterly clueless, it's almost like he's coaching them to be as negative and static as possible.

I know I'm being very pessimistic but I'm just so sick of watching other teams pass it through us with ease while we stand around with no plan whatsoever. It's anti-football.

Clear as day the problems....

Winks
Doherty
Lucas

For the love of God Jose please do NOT bring on Sissoko he is not the answer to any question being asked.

Lo celso for winks and a kick up the ass.

our midfield is too easy to play through winks is chasing shadows and hojbjerg is nowhere to be found.

I wish our CBs woukd stop going long and start to play through the middle. Ndombele has the ability to carry the ball through the middle and break lines yet he's only really getting second balls or the ball in wider areas.

Our defence is causing us lots of problems. Firstly their inability to pass into midfield means the ball comes back, their inability to anticipate balls over the top causes problems and they sit too deep off the midfield so Southamption have space. Doherty leaving space behind isn't helping either because we've been poor with the ball and it's just coming back.

Until our defence is stable and able to do some of these things we will struggle

We're really fucked. Basically this hideous joséball will waste the Tottenham careers of son Kane Bale Gio and tanguy. He can't even make us well organised

If Hojberg comes off its because of his ankle. That was a red card for me for Romerou. You cant rely on that though if his ankle is okay Winks off hopefully Lo Celso but probably Sissoko

Stevie on for Lucas, glc for winks to give us some more bite and creativity in midfield. We need to see that duo of tanguy and glc week in and week out!

It seems quite obvious to me how this team improves.

Be more aggressive with and without the ball.
Pass the ball quicker and with more purpose.
Get the ball to Ndombers in good positions in the final 3rd.

Thats all southampton have been doing. Getting the ball quickly and incisively to their most dangerous players.

Those two statements don't correlate - going forward we've put the ball in the net - going backwards we've not be solid or disciplined enough.

The quartet of Sanchez, Dier, Hojbjerg and Winks is killing us. Take away their poor defending both CB’s can’t bring the ball out and the two in midfield can’t receive it under pressure and get the ball down and turned. Full backs haven’t been great either.

N'Dombele is awesome on the ball. Always looking forward. You can see the frustration when he is forced to play back due to a lack of support/runs. Just needs that fitness and the support of a decent anchor. Lo Celso on please for either of Holjberg or Winks please.
