What does Jose see in Winks he is not good enough even to be on the bench never mind starting. He doesn't offer anything defensively or going forward. The sooner he doesn't make the squad the better.

Poch liked him too. He’s a lovely lad and a Tottenham boy so will always give his best and maybe a good guy to have around to let the other players know what it means. He’s had some good games for us and does all of the basics.

But we’ve got to get more production out of the team and the midfield and I honestly think once Ndombele is fully then winks will drop out. Not at all surprised to see him play today though given Ndombele played 90 minutes on Thursday and sissoko isn’t feeling 100%

Who knows how badly Dele's thrown his toys out the pram, but I can understand him being livid with being dropped whilst the likes of Davies, Winks, Dier have been putting in trash performances for months and get picked every week.

Difference being that Dele has competition whereas the other two only have to worry about Sissoko, a half fit N'Dombele and a new guy without a pre-season.

that’s a really poor back 4 for me and simply not top 4 quality. Both CB’s have concentration lapses, Davies is Davies and jury out on Doc so far being a WB shoved into a back 4. Can only hope the Skriniar move comes off and Reggie is fit soon. As for winks, dear oh dear picked yet again

Watching the highlights on N17 Live, from us v the toon in 2012 - is it just me or did Adebayor work harder in this match than any other time he played for us?

The Lane was absolutely bouncing that evening. Probably had a lot to do with it.

Sissoko pulled from the bench due to illness?
Rumoured to be included in the Skriniar deal, breakthrough in negotiations maybe???

Who do people expect to be picked ahead of Winks, exactly? Ndombele clearly not fit enough and being saved for the week. Gedson?

I’ve been watching a lot of footage of that time over the past week and Adebayor was a lot more impressive, in workrate as well as ability, than I remembered.

Or Gedson is a more versatile player who can cover more positions if someone on the bench went down, and Alli is being saved for Tuesday/Thursday.

There’s no natural RB cover on the bench, Sissoko can cover there, so Gedson does seem a like for like replacement in that sense.

This just in

Is Gedson ever glong to contribute anything?! Apart from missing crucial pens. Considering he didn’t make the original squad... Must be a point he either shows what he can do on this loan or we just send back - given we have a bloated squad
