Nah this is on the players this time. Those players are good enough to go out there and put a professional performance. They played like shit... they playerd like they won the game before they even started. They were ****ish in their performance. Disgraceful. Each and every one shoud be left in Antwerp

Not on Jose though this one.

I agree the players underperformed however, Jose is the one who inspires up when we need it. He didn't.

If he was looking for a reaction out of some of those who started tonight, I'd say he got little to no response, players swanning around the pitch, no end product, for some even the simple things were seemingly too hard.

Has to take some of the heat for the changes as such, but as a manager you'd be hopeful the players brought in would perform, for the most part they didn't. Didn't get any better second half mind you.

Problems remain at the back and the central areas (defence and midfield) when our strongest starters don't begin, look suspect. We can't be running another set of players into the ground - squad depth isn't an issue, the quality in the depth is a massive issue.

He was correct in his post match presser.

Those who started got a big chance to impress and they turn up with that performance. Won't be seeing Dele or Bergwijn again for a while at least

You got a link? Hope he isn't including Gio in that.

I would normally agree with the sentiments but those players should be motivsated by gettign a chance to get into the first team by performing.

This was so so bad. just terrible performance. We will stil get through the gorup I think but they should be motivated

Think he made several big mistakes tonight.

Making 9 outfield changes for any game is a risk and given the lack of fitness of many of our fringe players was probably too arrogant from the start.

Having done that, making 4 subs at HT was a strange move too. Dele and Bergwijn were poor so fair enough but taking Lo Celso and Vinicius off, leaving us with no strikers and less creativity was an equally big mistake imo.

Conclusions:

- Our squad depth might be good on paper but perhaps isn't as brilliant as we all thought.
- One of GLC and Hojbjerg must be on the pitch at all times.
- Bale is still some way off full fitness, and Bergwijn looks like he's got something wrong with him, whether that's an injury or an astonishing lack of confidence.

They do say you find out more about your players when you lose than when you win. Tonight is all on the players. Starting Hugo sent a message to the team to take this seriously. they didn't. Before the match everyone was praising the starting 11. The perfect game to give much needed minutes to some players. Bale and Vinicius hopefully get a pass. Both new signings and finding their feet and fitness.

I fear for Dele's spurs future after tonight. I don't think he wants to adapt his game. He wants to be the second striker that he was 3 or 4 years ago. If he wasn't homegrown he'd probably be packing his bags already.

I also think we'll see Rodon sooner rather than later.

We are not strong enough at the back to win anything.

Yep it is looking that way. Plus I’ve mentioned it loads over the last 6 months but I’m amazed we didn’t buy more players for in central midfield. Winks/Sissoko aren’t good enough.

The 4 subs were exaggerated. We were being a disaster but not because of Lo Celso, Vinicius. If from Winks or Davies.

I think Lo Celso is still not fully fit. Hence the reason to get him off.

Winks is more about giving him the opportunity with having Hojbjerg beside him, and the stronger players in front of him. But I think Mourinho's patience will start to wear thin with him though. Surely he can see Winks' deficiencies.
