The man is exceptional, I can see him exploding in the second half of the season.

His ability, confidence and work rate are all at peak levels.

He’s never been a prolific goal scorer (relative to position ofc). I think he maybe scored 4 or 5 over two seasons for Lyon. Not quite sure of his numbers at Amiens granted. Not only is he scoring, but these are finishes any attacker would be proud of, especially his second tonight. IF these numbers continue, and he can be a reliable source of goals, then maybe Jose was onto something utilizing him as a no. 10. Maybe he’s played there for fitness or other reasons, but his fitness is not a concern to me anymore. Still think deeper is where he’s best, but he’s shown he can hold his high level of play further forward too. It’s the increased involvement he gets and adding a ball carrier deeper which is why I think he’s one of the best in Europe deeper. Basically, I’m delighted he’s scoring, as he’s never done so at a good rate in France. Never in a million years going to hold his scoring numbers against him though if it drops off. That shouldn’t be expected of someone of his history. He’s already such a fantastic player without the goals. With them, he’s up there with the best of the best in the modern game.

His feints and ball control are genuinely elite. He's slower and has a different body type but I don't see French in him, I see Brazilian - he has the inventiveness you see in players like Neymar and Ronaldinho. Not even exaggerating, that touch over his shoulder and the finish today were things very few pro players could pull off at speed, and he made them look effortless.

Beware, this video may cause unexpected ejaculation.

The answer to this question is no - there is absolutely no point in pressing this man. Try and he'll even make guys like Kante look like Mark Noble, left in the dust.

I think the answer is yes. Tanguy is too dangerous for his creativity with too much space. You can't always win Tanguy with his talent, but there is still a need to limit his option by pressing. Moreover, pressing him is definitely a way to lower his stamina - arguably the weakest link in his game (though much better now)

Why can't he be disappointing and clearly unfit at the start of his time and also now put in great performances? Why is it always point scoring with you weirdo's?

Yeah fair.

However I do think there's a distinction between those who thought he was ridiculously talented and just needed time to sort himself out and those who thought he was just a fat lazy fuck and thus made him a figure of fun.

Personally I always thought his talent was off the charts, but there was definitely a point at which I thought Jose was never going to play him (much like Alli right now) and that we'd be better off cutting our losses.

I'm glad I was wrong.

If I had to choose between Alli and Ndombele I'd choose the latter every time.

Or we can try and get the dele of when he scored the palace goal to play alongside him... mouthwatering
