Even with £130m thrown into the team, until Levy and ENIC start to run the club with serious ambition, nothing will change. Harry deserves to win something big to show for his talent

True, but I feel like a huge part of that is down to being a bit of a hog. We've suffered the most from not being able to bring in someone to replace him, and we can't actually do that because no one wanted to come and get shut out of the team because wants he to play every minute. That'll be the biggest culture shock to him if he leaves.

We have been in a cup final in 3 of his seasons (14/15, 18/19, 20/21), 2nd in the league in another, 3rd in two others, and in a couple of FA Cup semis. The difference between those margins and crossing the line is big game players. I'm not saying he isn't, but his best games certainly haven't been in any finals so far.

Can't always be on him, sometimes his team mates need to step up and his managers.

The record in finals is systematic of the club, we just don't turn up in them, not just Kane.

No I know, but that's what he needed to do. If he goes and does it elsewhere, it won't be as a club legend, and if it's at City, it won't be as a factor.

True. But it’s only been more recently thats been the case. Even when we beat Leicester in 99 and Chelsea in 07, we normally did turn up.

It’s this whole squad, from the beginning of Poch.

We need a complete reset, the club have failed to do it piece by piece so unfortunately it’s going to have to be in one go.

I do hope in a few years time we look back on this summer as a changing point for the better

13 Semi Finals in 20 years and 1 trophy, unfortunately it's epidemic of our club, we just don't turn up in the big (competition) matches, it was happening way before Kane.

Indeed. It’s also worth saying ( yet again) that he was barely match fit after a long lay off in the CL final. Whether he should have started or not is a separate and long running debate ( and we shouldn’t have been so reliant on him in the first place).

And I don’t see how anyone could watch the Carling cup final and come to the conclusion that Kane didn’t turn up. We barely had the ball and when we did he was the only player who didn’t shit themselves when they had it. He is not a Messi, Ronaldo, Bale or even Gerrard type of player who either run through the team or smash it in from 30yards in a moment of magic.

Despite being a great passer and able to drop deep, he’s a CF who relies a lot on service. A better comparison of player would clearly be Shearer..... who’s cup final record reads : played 2, lost 2, goals 0.

Change the mentality of the club, you don’t do that by once again allowing a player, in fact our best player, a generational player go to another team. All this talk of city and United and what Kane wants. It’s about Spurs and it is Spurs decision to make not Kane’s or City or United. That’s harsh buts it’s a fact, he signed the contract and if we say he has to stay he has to stay that’s it.

As a club we have to take a stand and end this weak mentality.

If JJ is right and that was his last game for us. How on earth do replace a guy who has is only the 3rd player in Premier League history to win the most assists and most goals in season?

You cant, you invest in 2 or 3 players who can contribute towards what we are missing if Kane leaves.

You don't. That's the raw consequence of failure and of the choice not to try and push on from a stronger position.

But we can buy some other players that could step up and chip in, rather than him doing it all himself.

Like a team does, as opposed to a one man band

You simply cant - by any one individual.

What you end up having to do is having five players who can contribute which in turn would end up giving us more assists and goals than what we have currently. The likess of GLC, Ndombele who need to produce far more than what they have in terms of goals and assists and then you have a frotn three of Son plus the two players you buy using the Kane money.

That way instead of the 68 goals we scored this season we would end up scoring more... than relying mainly on Harry.

Its got to be a change in system with involvement of more players.

This isnt to diminish Harry as we are better off with him clearly but if he does leave then its about having a system. Essentially a bit like Man Shitty.

I know he comes with an injury prone tag but if Kane departs id like to see Ings come in. He hasnt missed as many games over the last 2 seasons as i thought he had and should make an immediate impact...him alongside an up and coming forward such as Daka as well as Bale staying could go towards replacing Harrys goals.

Daka is 100% my ideal replacement. The guy is an absolute machine.
