What an absolute joke to say it was 'an isolated incident'. There is no way that was an isolated incident.

Do people believe domestic abuse is an isolated incident? Of course not!
It is always about pushing the boundaries. First it starts off with mocking the cat, then a little push or small punishment, then they hit it and it becomes a regular occurrence.

As they are laughing and finding the whole thing amusing. I assume that this is something they regularly do. Typically if you find an action funny, whether it's with your mates or family, you tend to relive it in future to continue getting kicks out of the joke/action. It's very rare to only do an action like this in isolation.

Secondly, the fact it has been filmed and then posted tells you that the level of humour between them is twisted and that their morals are pretty bankrupt.

The most infuriating thing about it is we all know it'll be brushed under the carpet & the worst that will happen, is he'll get a fine, the multimillionaire.

But if anyone was to do anything to him in reaction to this they'd be charged & punished for their actions.

I know this because I myself was threatened with legal action when I spent 2 days trying to track down this piece of scum, actually assisting the police. When I finally tracked him down I instantly called the police and told them I was about to go to the flat I'd found out he was hiding out. I had 1 intention, don't get me wrong, this nutter could probably quite easily eat me for breakfast. But you don't do what he did & not expect someone to come after you.

But the police made it perfectly clear. If I acted, I'd have faced charges for assault. So all I could do was sit in my car & make sure he didn't leave the flat before the police showed up. The guy didn't deserve what our country calls "justice", he deserved to suffer.

The town treated me as though I'd done something special, yet all I felt was disappointed because I saw yet another sick as fuck bully not getting what he deserved.

Even when he was locked up, still able to do sick shit. As I said, no justice!

What an utter lowlife and fucking well done to you for tracking the scum bag down.
I do sometimes wish we had a more archaic justice system for dealing with such people, with a proper punishment that befits such a horrendous crime.

West Ham are a joke. They tried to get ahead of this by saying that he’s really upset and that they condemn him.

they then post a pic on Instagram of a young fan who died of cancer to try and control the narrative and look like good guys

shocking PR exercise from the porn barons

they thought they could get in with a quick apology at 8am and get ahead of it. But they forget how much we love animals and how it’s made even worse by the fact they are laughing about it in the video

As much as I despise Wham, they are in a difficult place short of firing him which is what everyone wants to see happen.

But this guy HAS apologised. Lets give him a little credit for that where several other people have done much worse and not said sorry.

I'm not going to give the bloke credit for apologising. I have no time for people that abuse animals.

He's had no choice but to apologise.
I'm not sure there's much sincerity in it.
I mean, it's not a dumb statement on twatter or something like that, it's an intentional act of cruelty.

Sorry just doesn't cut it for me.

Agreed.
Give him some credit for some PR bloke tweeting some generic nonsense apology?
Like fuck....he deserves zero credit.

Sod that. He’s not sorry what he did, he’s sorry for getting caught. Besides, what else would he say? “I’m a wealthy footballer so I can mistreat innocent animals - including family pets - and you’re all gonna have to lump it. Tune in next week when I’ll be punching a hamster”.

I don't want to quote you all, but I do think many of you are overreacting, the kick wasn't hard and many people treat working animals quite roughly too. ( yea, I said it).

But there are plenty of others who have done FAR FAR worse and continued on their merry way in many cases very successful careers.

John Terry
Frank Lampard
Jody Morris
Jose
John Terry
Ashley Cole
Courtois
Did I mention John Terry
Suarez
Gerrard

It's not just the kick though. He's getting a small child, presumably his, involved. And the kid is acting as if this is all hilarious. So you'd have to assume that this kid has been brought up to think abusing their cat is fine. What sort of backwards parenting is that?

If that kid grows up to be a wanker, who's happy to slap people or animals around, the buck stops with Kurt Zouma.

Some people are going to say "oh it's just a cat" or "look at such and such. They did far worse things than him and were able to continue playing". It's up to us to rightly condemn the actions, as it's not the behaviour of someone who lives in the civilised world.

We can't just turn around and say "well he apologised, so we should credit him for that". He's only apologising because his thick **** of a brother decides to laugh along and film the whole thing for social media. If he hadn't have done that, the Zouma brothers wouldn't be getting called out for it right now, and god knows what else would happen behind closed doors. On that note too, this is just one incident, that we're all seeing because it was filmed. What else goes on when the camera isn't filming it?

This is exactly it. It's a violent act of animal cruelty in front of a child.

I couldn't give a toss if other players have got in fights, or had affairs and got away with it in the past, this is disgusting and shouldn't go unpunished.

I'm not normally one for petitions regarding football, it's a little bit 'scouse' but in this instance, I'm all for it.

Annoyingly, it looks as they're petitioning the met police. I can't see the police acting on it, as they've said they won't, but I've signed it anyway. I think it would be better to petition for the RSPCA instead. From what I've read so far, it sound more likely that they'll be the ones to prosecute him.
