Maybe it’s not the right move, but if I were young Djed I think it’s about the time I’d be instructing my agent to start raising absolute hell. Not like he has many bridges left to burn at Boro anyway.
I find it insane that they are playing such hardball on him. He is a bloody RWB with one half-decent season, who they want shot of and already has a player playing for them they prefer. Baffling.

With latest ITK from Herc def seems we are moving on from him. Shame but what can you do. I wonder how much he will go for in the end, surely wont be for as much as we are offering.

He won’t have a place in their squad and I can’t see many other Prem teams who need a RWB. Which is why Gibson’s stance is odd and will likely leave him with egg on his face and Spence’s career progression negatively impacted

Hopefully this is just some final posturing from Gibson, and we get it over the line. I’m not sold on Spence mind, but he’s affordable (relative to others, such as Singo), HG, and has the physical attributes to be a success in the Prem.
I still see Doherty as our starting RWB, which pleases me because he was very good in the second half of the season prior to the asshat named Matty Cash injuring him.

totally reasonable for us to have an upper bound here and a deadline. He is a gamble and we shouldn’t be asked to pay for that gamble coming off multiple times.
