I fully agree Poch had run his course and the players were burnt out. I was also bemused by his love of the diamond when it was a disaster every time we used it in that last year. I completely agree that Paratici seems to work some miracles in the transfer market but I would think even the free's will get more expensive in terms of wages wit even more money likely to come into united and liverpool if stories are to be believed and Newcastles faster than expected progress is making them a more attractive proposal as well. Kind of feels like we may have to be in a position of being the only top english team interested to land a player.The whole point of bringing in Fabio is his ability to find top players on low contracts, or out of favour and convinces them to come. So whilst money will inevitably need to be spent it shouldn't need to be in the realms that the other bigun's are spending. Let's be honest Poch worked miracles but those miracles had long since faded before he left. If he came in now we'd basically have to completely reboot again, which takes more time and money.
