Why can't people see this?
The “cancer” remains either way. Conte requires extensive backing and resources and do we realistically think Levy will back it?

I’m a huge Conte fan but what our players have been showing on the pitch since August has been nowhere near good enough to warrant paying the manager £15 mil per year.

If he can’t do better with what we have now then he is also an extremely limited manager who can only play in one highly specific system which opponents can easily anticipate and prepare for.

How far away does he think he is? 5-7 £50m players? Because we’re not going to have those in by the start of next season. So if he can’t do better with the current squad than what we saw today, there’s no point even bothering.
Whilst I understand your comments, to me it is pointless. The club knew what type of manager they were getting. You bring him in, you back him with what he wants. And to this we haven’t. He accepted players he had not much choice tbf.

If Conte has his players, we would be a good watch. And personally believe we would be nearer success than we are now
I very much agree with this but at the same time this is the problem, he won’t be backed so that’s why he needs to go.

We’re in no man’s land

The actual quote is him saying that the best we can hope for might be 4th, or it might be 8th, or somewhere in between. Basically that the squad isn't good enough.

He's calling out Levy and I'm all for it. We aren't good enough and we need someone to tell the fans the truth.
This. Its all very well calling for Conte's head. But I very much doubt that those doing so would give Poch or any other "project'" manager any amount of time if he underachieved/struggled with the same group of players. With no firebrand in charge ie Conte, ENIC or Levy would be under no pressure to spend.

Plus if Conte goes - Kane and Son go to, and I very much believe Romero and Richarlison would be next this summer too. But thats OK for some as it will be Poch in charge, playing "pretty" attacking football with a few bargains from Ligue 1 brought in and we can heroically finish 8th or 9th and be truly happy playing "the Tottenham way" ?

Thing is that you can pay a manager as much as you like but it he doesn't get the requisite tools that it's pointless.

We did do well when everyone was fit last season. Any time we lose players it falls apart. I'm not sure how often we've started with both Kulusevski and Bentancur this season but the difference they made when they arrived was huge. It just shows the drop off in quality when we really have a first 8 so when 1 or 2 are out suddenly we have only half a team good enough. That's not to say Conte is free of any criticism but he is having to punch above his weight with this squad. We need another year like last signing another Kulusevski, Bentancur and Perisic level for the first team with a Richarlison and Bissouma for competition. We're still in transition and Conte has had only just over a year. It took Pep, Klopp and now Arteta time and if we back him I'm sure Conte will do great over time too.

I said a lot behind closed doors a while back before this came out. It is all true.
He’s just dropped from 8/1 to 3/1 so something is happening or going too, but if you are too stubborn to even try different things look what happens we haven’t been right since the fitness coach passed away.

But the definition of insanity is doing the same things expecting different results

I wish I could give this multiple winners. Shame others can’t see this.
