Village South of Maidstone mate everyone loves Rugby and motorsports here. Most pitches have rugby goals and shit. I play football for mental health charity and there's 2 Spurs 2 Arsenal 1 Chelsea everyone else is United or Liverpool
Near the airfield?
I like it down that way, much better than Medway, apart from the rugby and motorsports lovers, obv.

This thread should be dead. No evidence this is happening and we are massively overpriced. I'd love someone to come in but we are stuck with this ****.

This has been talked about before, and evidenced that it might not be a problem at all.
Do you have any proof of that? Pretty sure the Red Bull example isn't relevant, as they no longer own a controlling stake in one of the 2, and are (legally) merely sponsors.

Last I saw is they own one outright and are de facto owners of the other because of the 50 plus 1 rule. Whether it’s still the case now is perhaps irrelevant UEFA had no problem with it, and they could both play in the CL. Either way an investor will have done due diligence and won’t be unaware of this.
The energy drinks company has full ownership of Red Bull Salzburg and de facto full ownership of RB Leipzig.

Due to Germany's '50 plus 1' rule, fans must own a 50 per cent stake in their club and have the casting vote in the event of any disagreements with a private company.

But RB Leipzig have found an intricate way around this, ensuring the club has just 17 members, compared to Borussia Dortmund's 140 thousand.

Hmm - just a thought - but what if Levy wants to take on another investor - say QSI - and its Vivienne Lewis who is opposed to diluting their shares?

We are such a mess, with no clarity whatsoever.

Quick question guys,

I understand that QSI can’t buy the whole club, and the the RB’s are both owned (49% or whatever), but if JL owns 70% and DL owns 30%…

who’d he ‘in control’ if QSI bought 40% from JL?

would that level of investment be allowed? (All hypothetical I know… just trying to understand how ‘control’ would work!)

Believe under current law minority is 30%?

You need 75% to pass any special resolutions, so the most we are likely to sell at this point is 25%. The top end of a bracket for a minority shareholder

But that’s not how it’s works

enic own us so then buying a percentage of enic lowers their %.

Thus lower both levy & Lewis % equally

Plus it's unlikely that any minority investor would buy all the shares from existing shareholder. If they did then the money would go directly to Lewis / Levy. Likely they buy some from them and the club issues new shares which would mean that Lewis / Levy get funds but also the club.

Latest Deloitte figures might encourage a takeover, next years figures will be even better with Champions League this season .

PS I should think in next years Deloitte report Spurs will overtake Chelsea , at the moment Spurs have higher commercial revenue and higher matchday revenue but were behind Chelsea on broadcast revenue which was probably due to us not having CL last season. So will that make Spurs higher in value compared to whatever the figure Chelsea made when sold?

Disagree mate, actually think something really is happening here. My end is silent which speaks volumes.

Really hope you are right, we are in serious trouble if this doesn’t happen

I’m clinging on to the fact we are holding off in the market because this is close

More likely is that we know Conte isn’t going to be here next season so don’t want to spend on him ☹️

So we could be looking at a full takeover? Not sure how that would work but would rather that than a cash injection. Presumably that could make selling the club outright later more tricky?

Tried to catch up on the thread but it seems that:
1. QSI might be buying all of the club but we don't know.
2. QSI might be buying a share in the club but we don't know
3. Fuck all might be happening but we don't know
4 Excellent ITK about the makeup of fans in Kent

is that about right?

I moved from Cheshunt to Kent where the main sports are Rugby and cars so not many people give me abuse ? although everyone here who does like football support United, Liverpool or Arsenal
I'm from Kent, but what you say about Man United and Liverpool could equally apply in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, Essex Hertfordshire, Berkshire Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire et al I could mention more but you get the gist, go to Ireland and whether you are talking about the North or South, and you take Rangers and Celtic and the Sectarian element out of the equation, that too is unfortunately dominated by Man United and Liverpool fans( or to refer to them more accurately - bandwagon jumping glory hunters).....

Check the early pages if you'd like to delve into countless interpretations of what constitutes a hypocrite.

The thread peaked there imo.
