We know QSI are in a bit of a dispute with the local authority in Paris because the stadium needs a major overhaul but QSI want to own it if they are putting the money in to improve it. Wonder if they are considering an exit strategy from PSG?
More likely to apply leverage to persuade them

In regards to a full takeover I do think it's likely but that doesnt mean it will happen at once. I can see it going similar to what ENIC did when they took over and had shares in Rangers. It will be a process of buying a percentage now and selling off shares in PSG. That wouldn't surprise me at all, I mean they would surely be looking at EPL over Ligue 1. This is the biggest and best league with the most money. I could see a swing of them owning a smaller percentage of PSG down the line and taking majority ownership of Spurs.

so in summary the Qataris are still here, and we hate losing to Arsenal more than we hate sports washing. We have tried the organic way it's time to bring on the dirty dollars.

My guess is that we've been preparing the club for sale since moving into the new stadium. Getting Conte and adding a trophy or two would have helped but I think that horse has bolted. The signs seem to be we could be close to a sale. I really hope so!
Could be , its a bit strange we still haven't got a sponsor on the stadium so possible they have been open to the prospect of selling and leaving the sponsor free for the new owners

All this talk of sports washing is fine but let's not overlook that to anyone were a great investment

The best infrastructure in world football, based in London and a part of London that is about to be redeveloped, in the biggest league in the world with some mind boggling TV rights deals approaching.

To anyone wanting to invest in football I think we're the most sensible option.

But the issue you will have is with the amount it will take to buy us you aren't getting a Mary Poppins to do it. You will either get an Arab state or a ruthless billionaire.

I have done some checks on PL & UEFA rules and found something very interesting....on multi club ownership

UEFA rule is that you cant have ownership in 2 clubs both being > 50.1% . The legal entity cannot have decisive influence in the 2nd club.

In PL/FA, if ownership goes above 30% they have to do fit & proper test. And 1 person or entity cannot have > 10% stake in 2 clubs.

One interesting situation could arise If QSI had a 100% ownership stake in a non-PL European club (PSG) competing in the CL and had a 49% shareholding in a PL club (Tottenham). Then QSI would have a significant shareholding, as defined under the PL Rules (as it is greater than 30%), and would be require QSI to pass the PL FPPT, but the 49% shareholding would not breach the UEFA Integrity Rules. Both teams would be allowed to play in the same competition.

If PSG needed to win a match against Spurs to qualify for the next round in CL, and say Spurs in the group are not in a position to qualify for the next stage and if Spurs fielded a weakened team, just think about the specuation.

It is not clear what is a 'decisive influence' over another club's affairs. UEFA rules are lax& open to interpretation.

If this somehow materialise, it would be interesting to see how the deal is done.

Also worth noting they brought in Luis Campos this summer at PSG to advise their transfer business. He very famously buys players for cheap to sell on for big profits.

Could be a sign QSI want to minimize their spending at PSG and use those funds elsewhere

They have unlimited funds.

I doubt they're related. Campos is a really good hire and they got him.

I'll have you know that Mary Poppins is utterly ruthless in fact she is practically perfect in every way and with her this club's future would be Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

So to recap:

There’s something happening here
But what it is ain’t exactly clear

There’s battle lines being drawn
And nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong

***

It’s time we stopped
Hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
