Also worth noting they brought in Luis Campos this summer at PSG to advise their transfer business. He very famously buys players for cheap to sell on for big profits.

Could be a sign QSI want to minimize their spending at PSG and use those funds elsewhere

Who knows, PSG are a big fish in a small pond. They are the sole team in a world renowned city, a very strong CL team and have some of the biggest names in the world playing for them. I did see that the Parc de Prances won't be sold to them, as is city owned...whether that could be a factor if they were thinking of starting to dilute their ownership!?

I have done some checks on PL & UEFA rules and found something very interesting....on multi club ownership

UEFA rule is that you cant have ownership in 2 clubs both being > 50.1% . The legal entity cannot have decisive influence in the 2nd club.

In PL/FA, if ownership goes above 30% they have to do fit & proper test. And 1 person or entity cannot have > 10% stake in 2 clubs.

One interesting situation could arise If QSI had a 100% ownership stake in a non-PL European club (PSG) competing in the CL and had a 49% shareholding in a PL club (Tottenham). Then QSI would have a significant shareholding, as defined under the PL Rules (as it is greater than 30%), and would be require QSI to pass the PL FPPT, but the 49% shareholding would not breach the UEFA Integrity Rules. Both teams would be allowed to play in the same competition.

If PSG needed to win a match against Spurs to qualify for the next round in CL, and say Spurs in the group are not in a position to qualify for the next stage and if Spurs fielded a weakened team, just think about the specuation.

It is not clear what is a 'decisive influence' over another club's affairs. UEFA rules are lax& open to interpretation.

If this somehow materialise, it would be interesting to see how the deal is done.
I disagree that it is not clear what a "decisive influence" is. The second sentence in the UEFA rule you have quoted is merely an explanation of the first.

According to the OED, "decisive" means "that decides an issue; conclusive". That means, and can only mean, that the owner of one club cannot make the decisions about the second club. It can have an influence on the decisions of the second club, and that influence would obviously increase according to how much of the second club it owns, but it can only have a decisive influence over the second club when it owns a majority of the voting shares: a controlling interest.

I accept this does not take into account behind the scenes surreptitious "jiggery-pokery", but that, by its very nature would be very difficult to police.

That said, I for one am grateful for your investigations. The information is very helpful in understanding what limits QSI would be working under.

I don’t want to be in a position where we have to rely on the PL passing us through the fit and proper persons test because you know they’d fail us despite all the other rabble they’ve let through in the past!

Sorry to jump in, West Sussex has Liverpool and Man U fans by the bucket loads! Well my neck of the woods in West Sussex anyway.
I did notice when Brighton got into the Prem a lot of those fickle fans decided they had supported Brighton all along :ROFLMAO:
Stop posting this sheeet, we’ve already been warned, no one here gives a faaack about who supports who

Blimey, saw there was 5 pages to read and surprisingly it wasn’t full of rubbish.
Nice to see JJ still lurking. Sounding positive going by trix and H88, let’s hope it gets sorted.

Just been checking out a few of the THFC directors linkedins and got to Jonathan Turner. Probably nothing but it seems via his LinkedIn in he has under his interests a person called Aaref Hilary who works at Bain Capital. Remember them???? Probably coincidental. But still.
