Surely would have to be one of the non-HG players offered in exchange. Not sure we have the room to replace a HG club trained player with a non-HG one. Sanchez makes most sense to me. Or would’ve said Emerson until the last 2 games.
Is Porro home grown - he was a city for a few years?
How many meetings is that now? Why is it always another meeting next day, like how hard can it be? Getting a bit silly.
It's like levy is taking the public sector approach to transfers, let's have a meeting about a meeting...

I think they must have played for an FA affiliated club for 3 years before the age of 21.

This saga is reaching Djed Spence levels & Conte wasn’t even a fan ?
If this does get over the line, let’s just hope Conte is a BIG fan …

Are the meetings whilst passing each other on the staircase
These meetings must have a 30minute deadline.

Seems odd that Sporting keep turning up to these meetings if they are only willing to accept the release fee though hey,
Oh I'm not doubting there's a purpose to it, and I'm sure it'll lead to a sale, I just find it comical to have the exact same update every day. :)

Also, maybe I'm just too much in need of a transfer fix.

Jesus Christ, those reoccuring meetings will cost us more than the player himself.

I’m starting to think some of our directors are just enjoying a month long jolly in Lisbon rather than the chilly climbs of north london!

Even before the suppliers cut that's 181,800 pints a game sold at £5.50 each. Not doubting the info but I'd be surprised if it's anywhere near half that amount on beer sales.
I'm talking revenue not profit, so supplier cut is irrelevant. I probably should have been more accurate and stated "alcohol" not beer. Don't forget this includes the corporate side as well. Yes the number of people there are smaller but there will be minimum alcohol spend and a lot of corporates will order 5x as much as they need just so they look well stocked. The restaurants will also sell more expensive alcohol too.

I don't have the figures, but I would imagine it's something like 60-70k pints and then the rest is corporate and restaurant alcohol sales.
That's in food and beverage, not just beer.
I believe it's just alcohol.

Now admitted this was an NFL game not a football game, but here's the article about selling out of beer and hitting £1m in sales back in 2019:

i’m not overly keen on him but it’s just funny how easy of a deal this is to do, they’ve been naming their price the entire time and yet we still can’t get it done
Not sure if you've just arrived in this thread, but the sticking point is that they want us to activate the buy out clause, which would then be due in one lump sum. Almost all clubs pay for almost all their players in instalments, and Spurs are definitely one of the clubs that structure deals both in terms of payments and in terms of amounts due against meeting certain milestones. Buy out clause activation would nullify all of this and as such would likely be seen as the very last option to get this deal done.

I'm not overly critical of the club on the transfer front, but on this one I can see their point. I'd rather spend my time criticising them not sorting out the Zaniola deal and not getting us in a CB then them trying to negotiate with Sporting over the deal structure here.

From Ally Gold's latest talking points article:

"Porro, who is understood to be keen on the move, ticks both boxes as someone for the now and for a potential post-Conte era."

Stuck out to me because that's about as good as a compromise as we can get in these current times. Seems like Conte likes the player, he fits in Conte's system, but if Conte were to move on then Porro seems like a player that can adapt and not become instant deadwood.
