I had to have my gallbladder removed a couple of years ago.

It's relatively minor keyhole surgery - you're in and out of hospital (NHS) in a day.

I was sore for a few days and then fine.

The gallbladder attacks were awful though. Tremendous pain in your chest. The doctors thought i was having a heart attack. Very scary.

Get well soon Antonio - hopefully he will be back in the dug-out soon. What a shite year it has been for him though.

I have a friend who had exactly the same diagnosis and surgery. He was also a similar age. He left our stressful job and now works on his smallholding, breeding pigs and heritage cattle, and is very well now albeit is on lots of medication still. Just saying because the stress was such a massive factor and the change of career was on medical advice. This type of thing can make people very reflective about their life.
Having lost 3 friends so close together I think Conte was already reflecting. My Dad had this too and it was very painful, he didn't go back to his old job either and was happier for it.
I hope he is ok and recovers well, but I think its maybe another reason he may leave and go be with his family.

Oh Jesus
So unlucky and can only wish him well in his recovery

but realistically the need to find a replacement probably speeds up now.
As a club we are need of a total rebuild from top to bottom
Potentially-
New owners
New director of football
New manager
New captain
New star striker
New defence

doesn’t bode well

Yeah, I can see him returning to Italy.

Poor guy has been through a lot this year.

Ideally he’s back quickly but what are we supposed to do if he requires more than 4 weeks or so away from the game? Our season is very very salvageable and having no manager for ages is a massive blow.

With everything that's happened to him the last 12 months, the things happening at the club not even included, I'd be gobsmacked if he stays with us past the summer.

This club breaks everyone in the end. Let’s hope he has a speedy recovery. He must have been in pain for a while.

Yep this is surely the final straw with this operation and health condition. Either he stays and moves his family over here full time or he goes back to Italy and possibly jacks coaching in to spend more time with his family.
?? big love to Antonio.

I hope he can finish the season with us, get into top4 again, win the FA Cup and then for his sake he returns back to Italy.

I don’t mind if we then get Poch back so he can finish what he started, Kane to sign a new deal and club to feel more positive going into next season.

Let’s see but main thing is that the op goes well and conte recovers well ?

The stress level to succeed really doesn't help. Appreciate his efforts while in pain. Hope the lads play through the coming games with the utmost energy and commitment for the gaffer. Please get well soon ??

Made the point before but if I was a multi millionaire and I could live in Italy, maybe but a small yacht and have it off the coast of Capri and live my life eating the best food in the world in the sun then as much as I love Tottenham Hotspur I'd be there in a shot

I mean I'd probably have a heart attack in six month through tripling my body weight in pasta but still, what a life..

So sad for Antonio. Hopefully the operation will stop the pain and he is soon back to feeling OK.

Unfortunately this has the feeling of the end of George Grahams spell with us. Hopefully I am completely wrong.

But apart from that you're happy with the way things are progressing?

In no way would I hold it against him to pack it all in, he's been through it this year. If I were his wife I would be hoping he at least has a few years out

Get well soon big man

On the flip side if my wife had me earning £15m a year whilst not living in the same country, she would be absolutely buzzing.
