No point debating you when you come out with absolute hateful bollocks like this. The ‘fans’ calling for Enic and Levy out are not actually supporters. L
Pathetic

I get that you want more change (I do too!), but to state that nothing has changed is objectively wrong.I don't support Enic I support Tottenham Hotspur football club. And as for being patient, I've been patient. For twenty fucking years of plans and schemes I've been patient. I've supported Enic and Levy through the infrastructure and stadium rebuild, defending him and being patient. How many more years do we need to be patient, remember in Levy's own words "the stadium is a game changer".
NOTHING HAS CHANGED!
I meant in the way we do business, and forward planning.I get that you want more change (I do too!), but to state that nothing has changed is objectively wrong.
Our average league finish has changed.
Our ability to qualify for European competition has changed.
Our ability to compete in the transfer market has changed.
Our ability to pay competitive wages has changed.
Our ability to retain our best players has changed (I believe it's 6 years since someone ditched us for a "bigger" club).
That's five significant changes, which have gradually come about over ENIC's 20-year tenure. I put less than a minute of thought into that list and didn't even resort to mentioning infrastructure projects or the massive expansion of our global fanbase.
Thinking about recent more short-term changes:
The calibre of manager we recruit has changed (let's be honest, Nuno was only ever a caretaker and we've had world-class proven winners either side of him).
The appointment of Paratici as DoF, combined with recent comments about mistakes in the transfer market, shows Levy has learned from some hard lessons in recent years.
We've signed two players in each of the past two January transfer windows (historically, Levy has avoided doing business in January).
Yes fair enough, thanks for calling me out on that ?How very presumptuous and condescending.
That’s because it’s working. When you plant a seed. You water it for many days without seeing anything; this doesnt mean its not working. Suddenly, that seed sprouts and grows.I meant in the way we do business, and forward planning.
We've won 1 trophy under ENIC. We used to win trophies regularly before them. And you call that progress? I guess if you're into property and spreadsheets, then ENIC has done great. Silverware from success on the pitch? They've taken us backwards.Really, nothing has changed?!
I seem to remember us being a mid table team, in an old small stadium.
We’re now regularly in the top 4, we’ve been to two finals including champions league (fine margins if we’d won one).
We have one of the most successful managers in charge. We’re making changes behind the scenes.
We are investing in the squad (60m on ndembele, richy) - the recruitment had been bad but we’ve made changes to that area too.
The returns from the stadium will have only just started coming.
How do you not see progress.
We win the two cup finals we’ve been in and lose the 2008 and 1991 ones. You happy then? Fine margins. We’re building, still. There has to be progress in all areas. We've won 1 trophy under ENIC. We used to win trophies regularly before them. And you call that progress? I guess if you're into property and spreadsheets, then ENIC has done great. Silverware from success on the pitch? This is just a hypothetical exercise. We didn't win two cup finals, simple as that. A sports team is judged on its results, not what could have been if this happened or that happened. We've been 'building' for 20+ years and have almost nothing to show for it. ENIC have failed. We win the two cup finals we’ve been in and lose the 2008 and 1991 ones. You happy then? Fine margins. It wasn't just that he focused on that, you were making good points but that final paragraph was unnecessary and inflammatory.Yes fair enough, thanks for calling me out on that ?
I notice what you choose to focus on.

Maybe you should read that backYes fair enough, thanks for calling me out on that ?

So failure then. I for one don't want to wait another 20 years for 1 more league cup win. If you're prepared to stick around for that, more power to you, mate. Each to their own, but I'd rather we have owners whose first priority was winning football. We have no trophies to show for it yet.
In what sense exactly?I meant in the way we do business, and forward planning.
Well that doesn’t sound like a supporter, sounds like a glory hunter. So failure then. I for one don't want to wait another 20 years for 1 more league cup win. What the actual fuck are you blathering on about.Well that doesn’t sound like a supporter, sounds like a glory hunter.

Wanting your club to be successful is nothing like being a glory hunter.Well that doesn’t sound like a supporter, sounds like a glory hunter.

I've supported my club for almost the last 40 years, mate. I've been patient with and supported ENIC, but 20 years in, it's clear to anyone who looks at it objectively that the owners don't care about winning trophies. the 'I' in ENIC stands for 'Investment.' That's all we are to them; just another portfolio entry. Is it being a 'glory hunter' to want owners who put winning football first? If so, then yes, I am a glory hunter. You do know that's what our club was once about, right? To dare is to do. Glory, glory Tottenham Hotspur. Have you forgotten that?Well that doesn’t sound like a supporter, sounds like a glory hunter.

I think that's where people reach a juncture in their view of what their expectations are from following a team.Well that doesn’t sound like a supporter, sounds like a glory hunter.

I do stick by the club and my partner, but Levy and Enic are not my friends. I have no affinity to them whatsoever. They just happen to have bought my football club. Loyalty is admirable, but what you are talking about here is blind loyalty towards those that keep on making the same mistakes. Oh and whilst making those mistakes he's paying himself £3 million+ a year, and also charging us the highest season ticket prices in world football.Well that doesn’t sound like a supporter, sounds like a glory hunter.
