Everyone gave Sarr MOTM against Arsenal when he and no one else done anything to deserved it. But he was definitely our best player tonight, especially in 2nd half.

So how do I say this, there were promising signs imo and performance wasn't that bad BUT THIS IS THE CL and players like
KANE, SON and DEKI really need to do better and they aren't at the moment. This is the stage to make legends of yoruselves and they were shit

Sarr and Skipp, judging they started in the CL for the first time. They both get 10's they weren't perfect but they didn't dally on the ball and moved it quickly problem is the front 3 didn't do anything when the ball got near them other than win a foul

Royal didn't do too bad either.

Perisic, I want to like him so badly but he doesn't suit this type of system game, unless we dominate possession, makes pitch smaller as well

Despite the goal the defence weren't terrible

Sarr and Skipp did great and both looked really good. Emerson I like watching. I don’t like watching Perisic or Lenglet. Agreed the front three, we need so much more from them.

Agree about the front 3 and that is a good point about the midfield two they moved the ball quickly it was refreshing, Sarr also pressed well and either won the ball back or contributed to winning it back high up the pitch.

Forster 6 - Not a huge amount to do. Unfortunate for goal as made two good saves.

Romero 4 - Some very rash challenges, bad decision making, at fault for the goal. We really need better from him.

Dier 4 - Never seems to be fully in control. Does not inspire confidence. Could've done more for the goal.

Lenglet 3 - Really poor. Constantly gave the ball away.

Emerson 9 - MOM for me. Huge work rate, bags of energy. Pretty emaculate performance. Says it all that Porro did not get on.

Perisic 6- Patchy performance but did pose a threat going forward and was very involved.

Skipp 8

Sarr 8 - Skipp and Sarr really stood up. Excellenet performances. Some of the more established senior players could learn from them.

Kulu 4 - Anohter poor performance. Did not really do anything of merit.

Kane 6 - Some good hold up play. Won some free kicks but pretty isolated.

Son 4 - Typical Son performance this season. Poor.

Subs

Davies 3 - That left foot was a calamity. Oh dear

Richy 6 - Did'nt have much time. Looked preety active but ultimately innefective.

Danjuma 5 - Same as Richy except for the active part. Pretty anonymous.

Conte 4 - We were by far the better team but just could not make the forward line effective..really struggled to create space and break Milan down and we continued to do it for 90 minutes +

Sarr POTM. Skipp, Emerson close. Dier, Kane, Forster good. Perisic and Romero bad. Deki and Son really bad.

I have absolutely no idea why we signed Richarlison and then do nothing to get the best out of him.

Sarr was really good. Honestly don’t mind him and Skippy getting a run, freshens it up and they look hungry.

Fuck me though, we have absolutely no pace in that team. It’s horrendous watching us trying to get in behind.

Team 5- No pressure on their back three tonight. No shots of any note. Nothing

Annoying - Kane constantly coming short and being fouled in a position of zero threat.

every free kick in even a remotely dangerous position. Was passed sideways.

noteables.

Poor - Son is absolutely droppable now. But in a way I feel for him. He’s facing the wrong way most the time. Or having to defend the edge of the box!

MOTM - Sarr is going to be our Viera. He will get better and better the more games he gets. Great signing. So composed. Has the full range. Can tackle. Has pass. And great positional awareness.

Special Mention - Skipp also had a great game. Busy. Looking for the ball all the time. And get effort to close them down.

Good - Royal. Never stops running never stops trying and is always an outlet. Shame he can’t cross. But actually I can forgive that. As he has got us up the pitch. And defended so well the last few games

Poor - Kulu same as son really. Frustrates me that he doesn’t use his right foot enough. As a left back. You know he is going to cut inside.

Poor - Romero had a shocker.absolute lunatic and when it doesn’t come off. He looks a liability.

The Harry Redknapp “ just fuckin run abaaat a bit” award - Persic. Had such high hopes for him. But delivery was terrible.

The Rest. - did nothing of note

Manager watch - Just no. If this is what it’s going to be. Regardless of the money that’s been spent. And the previous managers. And Enid and Levy. Etc etc He should be ashamed. Not improved a Player in that squad. Rigid formation. For the sale Of rigid formation. Even when the game cries out for change. He doesn’t. Feels like he’s trying to get sacked to take the money and fuck off back to Lake Guarda

Yep, only one I’d argue is Kane. Thought he put himself about and held possession well but splitting hairs I’d have him a 6.

Romero oddly beaten a few times but could have expected some covering by Dier. Sarr and Skipp our best performers and most passionate as well they fought hard.

Special mention for Davies, as bad a cameo as you could find what a poor substitution Lenglet was easily best if that back 3 today.

Conte, left it too late to swap out Kulu and Son, they were ineffectiv.
