Oh no it isn't.

Liquid water is not itself wet, but can make other solid materials wet.
Wetness is the ability of a liquid to adhere to the surface of a solid
, so when we say that something is wet, we mean that the liquid is sticking to the surface of a material.

Thanks for the lesson, Professor. You learn something new... Consider me grateful. :)

and in other news... wait... already went there and don't want to flood the thread with another chemistry lesson.

But, uh... ya know, between us, and the rest of the internet, is it just me, or does he have a tendency to point out the very, very obvious. A lot.

Pretty sure we can't tell if things are wet, we don't have wet receptors, we guess wet from temperature and friction. I think. Its been a long time since I read about it!

Barnes is an interesting one. Is there a reason he hasn't been more on Southgate's radar? As he's an impressive player.
Then again, I know we have a number of good options in those areas. Still... I wouldn't against this at all.

I am not sure Southgates judgement on attacking players is the marker. Grealish had to battle his way n and to some extent still does but yet Pep seems to rate him as a starter for the best team in the world and he’s just won The treble also. Southgate is a very cautious pragmatic manager. South Gate not looking at Barnes doesnt mean he wont be a superb player. By the way I hold no opinion on Barnes as a player as I haven’t seen enough of him.

I would love to know the work that has to be done before a bid is made. It seems to take a really long time and isn't very productive. There are only so many options regarding wages and payment installments so it can't be that.

There are at least 50m payment options on a £50m fee.

“Down payment of £1”. “No”
“Ok, down payment of £2.” “I’m off out for a coffee…”

I'd say that there is a definite interest from Newcastle....

Grealish by his own admission was shit in his first at Man City though. Can’t blame Southgate for not picking him when Foden in particular was outperforming him, and Sterling prior to that.
