I would be amazed if Harry chose to leave England.
Me too, I don’t think he has any intention of leaving England he holds all the cards. So
it doesn’t really matter who bids for him or who Spurs ‘want’ to sell him too (if they even want too) it will be Kane that decides.

At this stage of his career, catching Shearers record and with still a few years at least in his prime, he isn’t going abroad.

What if we spend big on a RW instead and maybe a younger prospect forward. Hypothetically. I just think not giving it to Richy would make zero sense considering how much we spent on him regardless of what I think of him.
Oh I agree, I just don’t think he would get the goals we needed. Suppose it depends if the new manager would prefer him on the wing (highly doubt it as his dribbling isn’t great) I think Vlahovic is probably as close to a Kane replacement as we could realistically get. Especially as he is still so young, looks built for the prem aswell.

Unless Levy draws a hard line in the sand of "You have to sign the contract now or we will sell you" I just don't see Kane leaving this summer. It benefits Kane massively to wait until next summer to make a decision
- He can give Spurs a chance to prove the ambitions of the club are raised to match his own ambitions
- He is complete control of his transfer destination and will probably have offers from all of the top 20 clubs on the planet
- He will make A LOT more money in wages
- He can close in on the goal scoring record by another 20-25+
- IF he truly wants to stay at Spurs it will force Levy to be ambitious and keep spending on the right players this window and the winter window
And what happens when Kane laughs and says, I'm not signing a contract and you aren't selling me?

How many times does he have to give Spurs the chance to match his ambitions before he decides they can't?
Agree that ship has sailed. I think Kane has seen more that enough of Levy’s antics.

There has to be a sweepstake running somewhere on when the first "KANE DEMANDS BAYERN TRANSFER ON RETURN TO HOTSPUR WAY" article is published...

He must be so bored of having the same conversations every year and every year fuck all happens!!

to be fair people were pretty pleased with our window last year

the failure to get a quality CB cost us

the reality was obviously v different though to the majority’s predictions going into the season

I think we are dealing with this in a very clever way and I wouldn't be surprised if Kane signs a new deal.

Dialogue remains open between Spurs and Bayern about deal for Kane but 'huge difference' remains on how much the forward is worth.

SSN understands Kane has not closed any avenue and would be open to speaking to German champions; Kane to meet with Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou on Wednesday

Tottenham and Bayern Munich have held talks over the signing of England captain Harry Kane, as the striker prepares to meet new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou on Wednesday.

Sky Sports News understands Kane has not closed any avenue available to him, including staying in north London, but he would be open to formally speaking with the German champions should Spurs accept an offer.

Tottenham have made it clear they do not want to sell their record scorer and certainly won't entertain the £70m figure Bayern are willing to pay.

Daniel Levy is reluctant to lose an elite goal scorer and continues to hope he'll sign a lucrative new contract, but the fact Kane, 29, has one year left on his current deal may force him to consider a significant sum.

Honestly looks to me like Kane was very much on board with getting Maddison so maybe that helps. He looks so happy , total contrast to returning with Nuno.

Yeah, but even a good window this year would mean a push for the top four and one of the domestic cups. That's it, realistically. Possibly we could have a season like Arsenal's where we exceed all expectations, but that would be an unexpected bonus.

Maybe Ange and Levy will tell Kane we're serious about winning titles sooner rather than later. But as exciting as Ange and the new signings are, it's not like we've sent out a message: Man City, we're coming for you. I would be surprised if Kane looked at the business we have done and thought to himself, gee, we've bought Maddison and Solomon, the club really is serious about matching my ambitions this time.

Yeah, although it's a different scenario due to the contract situation. This time he knows he can ride this season out and get his big move at the end if he wants.

When you see reports/speculation that Bayern are still in dialogue despite apparent knockbacks and then you see reports/speculation that Spurs are sniffing around Vlahovic it is easy to put two and two together. Whether you make five from that or four I don't know but if there is truth in the former I for one would be pleased if there was truth in the latter.

If you look at Kane's body language, you can see he can't make eye contact with Maddison or Forster. This says to me he's signing for Bayern Munich.

Also, the thumbs. He's mentally trying to hit the eject buttons on that static bike. He's gone.
