A lot of British players have gone on loan to Belgian teams in the past, would be a good move for Scarlett if that's what we're thinking.
Maybe give them Devine/Phillips too for a year

That would be absolutely ideal. Think Gent would be a fantastic loan for either of those two.
I tend to agree but also appreciate @Ghost Hardware 's viewpoint on the standard of the league and whether it's best suited for where Veliz and Scarlett are in their respective development.

Guess i'm just wary of the due diligence we've done previously when we've come to loaning out talent.

Romano saying we have been following Orban and asked what a potential deal would be bud but haven’t put in an offer yet. We have also apparently been following Jonathan David for a good long while but haven’t made any moves for him.

With the Dusan news it does really sound like we are weighing up all our options.
Should take about 3 weeks to re iew our options then we think about negotiating then...... oh dear transfer window closes, we hsve been here before lol.

If it's good enough for us to notice players we would bid for, then it's good enough to develop other youngsters to get them to that point. I'd rather they play week in week out in front of big crowds in the Juliper pro league for instance, than be bench options in the championship

I thought that was if Kane stayed?
I can’t remember if it was dependant on Kane staying. I remember POK saying us looking at him wasn’t linked to the Kane deal. I dunno if any of the ITK’s said he wouldn’t get loaned out if Kane left.

Ideally I want Orban and Vlahovic but I think that would be unlikely with Richy being here as well!

Again I can't necessarily disagree but does underline my point about the securing the right club for loaning our talent out.

Valuable game time I think trumps all here which is what Veliz and Scarlett need - if it helps secure Orban then there's obvious appeal.

Also allows the player to get acclimatise to Europe as a continent. I know all countries are different with their own culture but I feel like it's still good for a player like Veliz to play in Europe rather than South America at least in terms of developing.

It's what Brighton did with Mitoma too. Brought him over from Asia and then loaned him out to the Belgian league for a season.

A loan for Veliz or Scarlett to help us bring Orban in would be ideal and a win win for us. Orban is a bit of a punt but he looks like a top class goal scorer and they are like hen's teeth at the moment so totally worth the risk.

Interesting - I think it would be sensible to send Veliz (or even Scarlett) the other way if there's interest on Gent's part
Not sure about Veliz, but Gent would be a great loan for Scarlett imo. We need to send him somewhere where he can get on a decent goalscoring streak. Then if he does well send him to the Netherlands or France. European football also means more chance of a game. Sometimes, I don't think the cut and thrust of the Championship is the best league for a player's development.

No matter which way I look at it, considering what we need elsewhere and what current striker options there are available, I keep coming back to bringing in Orban as the deal that makes the most sense.

He better get use to it because a lot more teams will be sitting deep against us.
Not sure it's in the nature of a lot of Prem managers nowadays. Brentford and possibly Villa are the best sides in the league that aren't ultra attacking.

If it's good enough for us to notice players as good enough to be bought in then it's good enough to develop other youngsters to get them to that point. I'd rather they play week in week out in front of big crowds in the Juliper pro league for instance, than be bench options in the championship

I think a loan move there for Scarlett would be incredible if they rated him highly enough to be a starter. Like you said get to compete for the Belgian title and play in europe.
